'AGT' Season 19: Who are TT Brothers? Manzai group makes skits under Japanese comedy group Chocolate Planet
TOKYO, JAPAN: TT Brothers, a popular Manzai group, is about to take the stage of 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 on July 2. Brothers not by blood are part of a comedy group named Chocolate Pancake.
The TT Brothers are an accomplished manzai pair from Tokyo, Japan. When questioned if they are related, they say that they are "business brothers".
Shohei Osada and Shun Matsuo are members of the comic troupe Chocolate Planet. Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo office manages Chocolate Planet, also known as Chokorēto Puranetto, a comedy duo and YouTubers.
This comedy troupe is made up of two graduates from the eleventh class of Yoshimoto New Star Creation (NSC). Their name is commonly shortened to Choko-pura.
In Japanese, they are known as Owarai Kombi, which is essentially a funny duo.
The majority of Chocolate Planet's performances are funny stories called konto. Typically, Shohei plays the straight man, or Tsukkomi, giving Shun an opportunity to joke, screw up, or act foolishly.
They occasionally do gags in which the roles are muddled, and sometimes they reverse the roles. This duo is renowned for its rhythmic content, impersonations, and manzai performances.
Shun and Shohei both like to mimic other Japanese celebrities. For instance, Shun pretended to be a beautician in 2017 while mimicking the transgender star Ikko from Japan.
In addition, Shohei has received a lot of praise for his imitation of well-known Kyōgen performer Izumi Motoya.
