PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Magic acts have always been crowd favorites on the electrifying stage of 'America's Got Talent'. Among the enchanting performers who graced the show was the charismatic Magic Mike Jacobson, 36, a seasoned magician. With years of experience under his belt, he held onto the belief that a successful performance could pave the way for him to bid farewell to his mundane day job, embracing a life solely dedicated to his magical craft.

While the judges and audience were mesmerized, captivated by his spellbinding illusions, a keen-eyed few amongst his ardent fans couldn't help but notice slight hiccups in his act. One such moment occurred when he deftly extracted a paperclip from a deck of cards hidden inside a matchbox. These eagle-eyed fans wasted no time pointing out this conspicuous error, urging the talented magician to hone his skills through relentless practice and strive for perfection in his performances in the future.

'This is what you were born to do'

During the day, Mike works in advertising, he shared. With 36 years of magic experience behind him, he held onto the belief that a successful performance could grant him the opportunity to bid farewell to his day job. As the judges began the act, they burned "invisible" cards. Each panelist selected a card, igniting matches to reveal and extinguish them. Astonishingly, Simon's saved card materialized inside the matchbox.

Another remarkable trick involved Howie, who tossed an invisible deck of cards to Mike, only for him to catch a real pack. His dexterity and skillful maneuvers left the judges astounded. "I've never seen a magic trick on AGT like that," exclaimed one of them. The audience remained hushed in awe as Mike flawlessly executed his illusions.

Heidi acknowledged the silent admiration during his performance, while Sofia found it both amusing and captivating. Simon, in his characteristic directness, declared, "You can quit your job. This is what you were born to do." Howie called the performance incredible. With unanimous enthusiasm, the judges delivered four resounding "yeses", sealing Mike's path to the next round.

'Feel like there was a sleight of hand when he took that paperclip off'

One pointed out, "Heidi said to burn all the faces and some how we still had the queen of diamonds." Another added, "He starts off by saying to Simon "You're gonna save one card from burning." Then Heidi picks faces when asked between numbers and faces; Mike says "The faces are in the fire". Wouldn't that mean....the numbers remain? Cuz he then asks Sophia, do you wanna burn all the men or the womne? And Sophia says men........and the women remain. Clear tactic to get the queen at the end but the delivery wasn't smooth, IMO. Kinda glared at me as I was watching live."

One commented, "Heidi said to burn all of the face cards. He turned it around and decided himself to burn the numbers. Unfortunate." Another wrote, "I can't believe AGT aired one of the most common, basic magic tricks out there. This is like the ABC's of magic...literally every magician knows this trick LOL and he knows it!" One exclaimed, "Heidi burns the faces and they remain, but Sophia burns the men and they're gone. He messed the trick up!!!"

Another weighed in saying, "On that second trick all the cards are matched up to add to 13. All he needed to do is find the 3 and take the reversed 10 out. That’s my thoughts. So simple." Another joked, "His advertisements hopefully aren’t as boring as his performance."
