With only two episodes left until the conclusion of Season 1, ABC's 'For Life' is leaving no stone unturned in introducing more drama and suspense to Aaron Wallace's (Nicholas Pinnock) fight for freedom. While 'Switzerland' ended with a major cliffhanger, the upcoming episode teases something bigger in store for viewers.

In the previous episode, Aaron ends up becoming the primary cause of the prison riot while trying to save his friend and fellow-inmate Jamal Bishop (Dorian Missick) from the newly transferred prisoner, Cassius Dawkins (50 Cent).

As Belmore witnesses, one of its worst inmate-induced violence, Safiya Masry’s (Indira Varma) plans of reformation are forced to take a backseat.

The official synopsis for Episode 12 of 'For Life' reads, "Aaron finally gets his chance to argue for his retrial in court but it's thwarted by the return of prison warden Cyrus Hunt. Safiya deals with the aftermath of the prison riot and attempts to salvage her reforms. Foster finally faces the repercussions of his corruption"

The previous episodes had introduced us to Safiya's predecessor Cyrus Hunt (Chance Kelly), whose unbending and rather unfair ways of running the prison were much-dreaded and also played a major role in the wrongful incarceration of Aaron.

The trailer also shows a Correctional Officer telling how Aaron's decision to fight Dawkins sent 50 inmates into solitary confinement with many being severely hurt or fighting for their lives.

Although Aaron's actions were meant with the best of intent, his rival Glen Maskin (Boris McGiver) wouldn’t miss out on an opportunity to turn this against the former.

However, Aaron can still hold on to the last strand of hope as Marie (Joy Bryant) and Jasmine Wallace (Tyla Harris) are doing everything in their power to collect evidence against the District Attorney office.

Perhaps, only his family and a friend whom Darius Johnson (Brandon J. Dirden) approached in the last episode testify could save Aaron from the imprisonment of a lifetime.

It would also be interesting to watch what position the prison riot leaves Dawkins in as Wild Billie is now dead and Correctional Officer Foster (Glenn Flesher) has gotten himself entangled in a series of corruptions including the latest incident which has put the lives of his fellow officers on the line as well along with the inmates.

'For Life' airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
