LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lifetime is on a roll with its amazing real-life-based movie catalog for the month starting from, 'Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation', 'The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story,' to now, 'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story'. The new Lifetime movie has helped to put an end to such conventional storylines, which previously always showed that two women can never be good friends because a sense of rivalry and competition will always come through.

But, in case you were unaware, the Maritte Lee Go movie is actually based on the true story of Randy Roth, a wife killer from Washington. Randy Roth had four marriages. Unfortunately for the wives, their marriages ended due to the death of one of his wives. The first being, Janis Roth, and the second was Cynthia Baumgartner Roth, who was technically Roth's fourth wife. Read more to find out about 'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story'. The official synopsis of the movie reads, "Lori becomes distraught when her best friend, Cindy Roth, drowns under mysterious circumstances while on a trip with her husband, Randy. 'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story’ on Lifetime: Who is Laura Ramsey's Cindy Roth?

Lifetime's true crime film will send shivers down your spine

We're sure you have a closest friend for whom you would give anything, and in this Lifetime film, Cindy, played by Laura Ramsey, and Lori, played by Chrishell Stause, beautifully capture friendship. Chrishell Stause deserves praise for her portrayal of a woman who lost her best friend in such a superb performance. Although it was unexpected to see Colin Egglesfield in such a bad light, the actor nailed the role and gave an A1 performance. Speaking of the plot, everyone would have goosebumps watching this movie because it is based on true events. Although it can be challenging to bring such events to life on screen, the movie does it justice.

'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story' highlights abuse

We frequently hear about several abusive incidents, but in the one-and-a-half-hour film 'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story', many unpleasant abusive viewpoints have been successfully brought to light. Beginning with child abuse when Jonathan Bergman's Greg asked Chrishell Stause's Lori not to tell his dad when he wet the bed, through serious domestic and mental abuse displayed when Colin Egglesfield's Randy used to reprimand and punish Laura Ramsey's Cindy every other second.

It is safe to say that the film does a fantastic job of portraying the actual event. However, it could have been improved if more attention had been paid to how the incident was actually portrayed. It is also understandable that Maritte Lee Go would not have wanted the film to become too dark given its already dark thematic. Nevertheless, the emotional component of the movie was enhanced by Stause and Egglesfield's performances.

You can watch 'A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story' on Lifetime.
