'A Million Little Things' Season 2: Rome wants a baby 'so bad' but Regina is not ready to compromise

Spoilers ahead for Season 2 pilot episode of 'A Million Little Things'

The season two premiere of ABC's 'A Million Little Things' finally revealed a lot of things following the excruciating cliffhanger from season one.

As Eddie (David Giuntoli) comes clean about Delilah (Stéphanie Szostak), his relationship and the baby they have together, he leaves Katherine (Grace Park) heartbroken. She leaves home and, unknown to Eddie, till the end of the episode, goes to stay with her mother. 

Elsewhere, the gang is at the hospital anticipating the birth of Delilah's baby. The time spent in the maternity ward waiting for the baby is hard on Rome (Romany Malco).

As he is rushing to the hospital with Regina (Christina Moses), he confesses to her that he wished it had really been Gina's baby. He even tells Gary (James Roday) and Eddie that he wants to have a baby and that he never knew he would want one "so bad". 

This is surprising for Regina. The couple had agreed a long time ago that having a child-free life is best for them. When they got married, they agreed that they would not have children.

However, Rome's suicide attempt from last season and the second chance at life changed everything for him. He has changed his mind for good. He no longer thinks that living a child-free life is the best decision for the couple.

Marriage might be about compromises, but there is no middle ground here — there is no compromising, no making sacrifices. To add to his pining, Regina is not sure if she should make this big a compromise. What is next for them?

The official synopsis of episode two read: "Eddie manages to keep Theo distracted in the midst of trying to track down Katherine, while Maggie realizes her mother’s surprise move to Boston might not be just for her."

"Meanwhile, Regina struggles with accepting Andrew’s ideas about the restaurant, and PJ makes a shocking confession to Rome," it added. 'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 9|8c on ABC. You can also watch the episodes on the website, the ABC app and Hulu.
