'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 11: Eddie's musical career takes a turn and it may not be that bad

Spoiler alert for 'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 11 titled 'We're The Howards' 

Once upon a time, Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli) had a bright future as a musician. The world was his oyster and there was nothing that he couldn't achieve as a musician. A series of bad decisions later, and everything is awash.

In Episode 11, Eddie tries to pursue a new career in music. He goes for a meeting with his old producer Trevor (Peter Benson), who cancels on him at the last minute and instead meets with a young talent Dakota (Anna Akana).

Disappointed and worried that Trevor wouldn't meet him, Eddie returns home to unfortunate news about Theo (Tristan Byon) involved in a tussle at school. And just as he has forgotten about Trevor, he gives him a call asking him if he would be interested in mentoring Dakota's new-age music. 

Should he go forward with this, he wonders? Is this where his musical career has come? When he expresses his concerns to his wife the ever-so supportive Katherine (Grace Park) — seriously, how does she do it? No wonder, she consistently holds the fan-favorite trophy —  she prods him to look at.

And that taking up this project needn't necessarily be the end of the road for his music career; it might open new doors. She reminds him of how making great music has always been his dream and that this could be a way for him to achieve that dream. 

By the end of the episode, just as Theo's chapter comes to a close, Eddie realizes that welcoming this change might not be all that bad.

Perhaps working with Dakota could open new ventures for him to explore. And while Theo is a little concerned about his father not staying at home as much as he once would, this looks like new beginnings for Eddie. 

'A Million Little Things' airs on ABC on Thursdays at 10/ 9c.
