Sumit and Jenny have had their rollercoaster ride in their relationship but it looks like the pair finally knows what they want. When they first started dating, Jenny had moved to India in the hopes of starting a life together. However, she was shocked to find out Sumit was already married.
Despite all the problems, the pair sailed through it all and confirmed they were still together as they appeared on another season of 'The Other Way'. Sumit revealed he had filed for divorce and was ready to marry Jenny. With Jenny being days away from arriving in India, Sumit decided to get them a place that was two hours away from his parent's house. He knew it was time to think about himself and not what his parent or society thought. Sumit's brother Amit decided to come and help him shift. Amit was confused as to why Sumit chose Jenny over any other woman. He explained how it was important for Sumit to think about his family as he was the oldest son.
Speaking to the camera, Amit explained one of the main problems his parents had with Jenny was that she was older than his mother. While Sumit did not have a problem with it, Amit was convinced the age gap would cause a lot of problems in their life. Amit further tried to explain that in Indian culture, the son must take care of the parents when they are older. He hinted that Sumit would be busy taking care of Jenny and might lose his family on the way. However, Sumit refused to listen to any reason. Sumit explained he was not happy when he was married and had opened up about it. Unfortunately, he could not open up about this in front of his parents. Sumit admitted that Jenny gave him the confidence of standing up for himself and was there for him when no one else was. Amit understood the relationship and the bond Jenny and Sumit shared. He was then ready to talk to their parents in the hope they would accept Jenny. However, with cultural and age differences, we wonder if Jenny will ever be accepted.
