Plot
The show follows the lives of seven new couples who have known each other for a long time and are trying to make their long-distance relationships work. However, just like every other relationship, these couples also find themselves stuck in situations that need a bit of work on their part.
Taking the viewers on a rollercoaster ride, this show showcases how these seven couples put aside their differences in order to make sure their relationship works.
Cast
Tania, 29 (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin, 29 (South Africa)
Tania decided to take the spontaneous decision and head to South Africa to meet a man she had met on a dating site. When things did not work out with him, she ended up going to a bar where she met Syngin and felt an instant connection. The pair fell head over heels in love with each other which ultimately led to Tania staying in South Africa for four and a half months. But now it is time for Syngin to take the big step and move to the US. However, the pair will be living with Tania's mom and will have to follow the house rules. Will the couple survive the move?
Robert, 41 (Winter Park, Florida) and Anny, 30 (Dominican Republic)
After striking a conversation on social media, Robert and Anny soon got into talking to each other continuously for six months. Robert then decided it was time to meet Anny and booked a cruise with a stopover in the Dominican Republic to meet Anny in person. The two ended up making lots of memories together and after spending just a day together Robert popped the big question. Now, Robert plans to bring Anny to the US but with a four-year-old son at home, Robert is having a hard time applying for a K1 visa.
Michael, 41 (Greenwich, Connecticut) and Juliana, 23 (Brazil)
Michael and Juliana met at a yacht party in Croatia and instantly connected. When Michael applied for a visiting visa for Juliana to come and visit him in the US, it was denied which left them crushed. However, Michael soon realized that he cannot spend time apart from Juliana and decided to propose to her. Now, Michael hopes for Juliana to come to the US and spend the rest of his life with him. However, he is worried whether Juliana will be able to shoulder the responsibilities of his two children, while his family wonders if Juliana is marrying him for the right reasons because of their age gap.
Emily, 28 (Portland, Oregon) and Sasha, 31 (Russia)
After graduating from college, Emily moved to Russia to teach English. During one of her gym sessions, she spotted Sasha, a fitness trainer, who ended up training Emily. Emily also started teaching Sasha English and ultimately, the romance started brewing between the pair. However, she quickly realized that Sasha was married twice and had a child from each marriage. Before long, Emily realized that she was pregnant with their child and this led to her to make the decision to move to the US with him. Problem is, will her parents agree knowing that she will become wife number 3?
Blake, 29 (Los Angeles, California) and Jasmin, 27 (Finland)
Blake and Jasmine decided to take their relationship offline after the pair realized that they had feelings for each other. Blake then decided to visit Jasmine in Finland and by the time he was back in the US, he knew she was the one. On his second trip, he asked Jasmine to marry him. While he is thrilled for her to meet his family, Blake's family is concerned as they wonder if she is in it for the green card.
Anna, 38 (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Mursel, 38 (Turkey)
As a full-time mom of three, Anna never thought she would love again but for her, love knocked on her door in the form of a friend request that Mursel sent her on social media. The two instantly connected and Anna decided to head to Turkey to meet Mursel. While the two seem to be madly in love with each other, there is a problem that occurs in the relationship. Musel's family does not know Anna has three children and if they find out, things are not going to be pretty.
Mike, 34 (Seguim, Washington) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)
When Mike's friend Matt married a Ukranian, he wondered if he should also look for love somewhere far. Looking at how Mike was ready to settle down, Matt and his wife Svetlana decided to play the role of cupid. The pair spoke constantly about Natalie, who is Svetlana's best friend leading Mike to take the decision of talking to her online. The two then decided to meet her and felt a spark like never before. During their second trip to France, Mike asked Natalie to marry him and even though she said yes, things seem to be getting hard for the pair because of differences of opinion.
