Lidia and Scott

The highly anticipated third season of '90 Day Fiance: Love in Paradise' is about to get more exciting with the addition of a new cast member, Lidia Jimeno. For those who are familiar with the show, Lidia was previously known as the interfering mother-in-law from hell, meddling in her son Pedro Jimeno's marriage to Chantel Everett. However, she's now turned a new leaf and is taking the plunge into finding love of her own with her boyfriend, Scott Wern. Lidia, a 56-year-old lawyer from the Dominican Republic, has been in an online relationship with Scott, an American man hailing from the sunny state of Florida, for quite some time now. The couple's love story started when Scott met Lidia's daughter's boyfriend, Alejandro Padron, at the gym. Nicole, Lidia's daughter, showed her mother a picture of Scott, and that's how the sparks flew. Scott, a registered respiratory therapist, high school and competitive soccer coach, and personal trainer, has an active social media presence on Instagram. However, the language barrier seems to be a significant challenge for the couple since Spanish is Lidia's first language, and she can barely speak English. They must rely on a translator device to communicate, making it quite a unique love story.

Jordan and Everton

The heart wants what it wants, they say. And Jordan and Everton wanted each other. Despite the physical distance between them, these two lovebirds managed to fall for each other twelve years ago. But now, they're about to take their relationship to the next level as Jordan plans to join Everton in Jamaica. However, things aren't as smooth sailing as they had hoped. Jordan's excited to finally be with the love of her life, but doubts are starting to creep in. She wonders if Everton's intentions are pure or if he's just stringing her along for money. It's not uncommon for couples to face challenges when they're living in different countries, but it seems that Jordan and Everton have a few more obstacles to navigate. For starters, there are exes lurking in the background, causing Jordan to question whether she's the only one in Everton's heart. She also can't help but wonder if Everton has been faithful to her while they've been apart. These are valid concerns, and Jordan deserves to have them addressed before she uproots her life to join Everton in Jamaica. Moreover, money struggles are adding to Jordan's worries. While love may conquer all, the reality is that finances play a significant role in any relationship. Jordan wants to ensure that they can build a stable future together, but with Everton's financial situation being less than clear, she's not sure if they can make it work. As Jordan prepares to take the leap of faith to be with Everton, she's grappling with these doubts and questions. Will Everton be able to prove that his love is genuine and that he's not just using her for money? Or will Jordan have to face the harsh reality that perhaps their love wasn't meant to conquer all?

VaLentine and Carlos

Love knows no boundaries, and for Carlos Jimenez and De Juan VaLentine, that meant bridging the gap between their different cultures and languages. VaLentine, a 47-year-old Los Angeles resident, met Carlos, a 29-year-old from Colombia, on social media just before the COVID-19 pandemic struck in early 2020. As a result, it took them two long years before they were finally able to meet in person. Despite the long wait, their connection was palpable from the start. However, the couple's cultural differences and communication issues surfaced, causing some tension between them. While VaLentine was comfortable expressing his sexuality openly, Carlos was more reserved, leading to disagreements during their night out clubbing. Now, the couple is back in Colombia for another season of 'Love in Paradise,' and this time, their wedding is on the horizon. However, it hasn't been a smooth journey to the altar. The couple has had its fair share of ups and downs, including previous breakups and reconciliations.

As the big day approaches, past issues are resurfacing, causing Carlos and VaLentine to question whether they are truly meant to be together. With the pressure of planning a wedding and their cultural differences coming to the forefront, the couple is facing new challenges in their relationship. Despite these challenges, Carlos and VaLentine are determined to make their love work. They have proven time and time again that their emotional and physical connection is strong, even if their communication and cultural differences can be a hurdle to overcome.

Jessica and Juan

Jessica and Juan's whirlwind romance started on a cruise ship, where they both worked in different departments. Despite the long hours and busy schedules, the two managed to fall deeply in love. They shared everything with each other, from their favorite movies to their deepest secrets, and knew they were meant to be together. As their love grew stronger, Jessica decided to take a huge leap of faith and move to Colombia to be with Juan. But she's not making the journey alone. Jessica has two young sons who will also be joining her on this adventure, and to make matters even more complicated, she's also pregnant.

The thought of starting a new life in a foreign country can be daunting enough, but Jessica's situation is even more challenging. Juan will be working as a bartender on a cruise ship, meaning he'll be away for long periods of time. This leaves Jessica alone in a new country, taking care of her children while preparing for the arrival of their new baby. While Jessica is excited about the future, she can't help but feel a bit overwhelmed. She's never lived outside of the United States before, and adjusting to a new culture and language will take time. She's also worried about how she'll manage everything on her own while Juan is away. But despite the challenges, Jessica is determined to make things work for her family. With Juan's support, Jessica is ready to take on this new adventure and create a happy life for her growing family in Colombia. They may face obstacles along the way, but their love and commitment to each other will help them overcome any challenges that come their way.

April and Valentine

April and Valentine's relationship started off as a whirlwind romance that quickly turned into a challenging long-distance relationship. With April living in the United States and Valentine in the Dominican Republic, they face a significant hurdle of physical distance that puts a strain on their relationship. Both have busy work schedules that make it difficult for them to find time for each other. On top of this, April's business partner and ex-boyfriend is still a significant presence in her life, and Valentine can't help but feel insecure and jealous of their relationship. As a result, he often questions whether April truly wants to be with him. Communication is also an issue, as they both struggle with a language barrier that makes it difficult for them to express their feelings clearly.

Despite the challenges, April and Valentine are determined to make their relationship work. They have made the decision to take a leap of faith and move to the Dominican Republic together. April hopes to start a new life in the Caribbean, but the move comes with its own set of problems. She must leave her successful business behind and learn to adjust to a new country, language, and culture. Valentine is excited to have April by his side, but he worries about the future. Will they be able to overcome the language barrier and cultural differences? Will April's ex-boyfriend continue to be a thorn in their side? Can they balance work and love and create a successful life together?

Matthew and Ana

Matthew and Ana's whirlwind romance began when Matthew visited Colombia and met Ana on a dating app. Just ten days after meeting in person, Matthew proposed to Ana, and she said yes. The couple's rapid engagement set the stage for an intense season of '90 Day Fiance.' As they began to spend more time together, the differences between the couple's cultures and personalities became more pronounced. One significant area of conflict was religion: Ana is a devout Catholic, while Matthew is not religious. This led to tension and disagreements about how to raise their future children. Personal differences also came to the surface. Ana had a tumultuous past, including a stint in prison for theft. Matthew struggled to reconcile his love for Ana with his concerns about her past and her ongoing relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Despite these challenges, the couple remained committed to making their relationship work. They continued to navigate their differences, including the language barrier (Ana's first language is Spanish), and work on building a life together.
