'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After': Are Kalani and Asuelu still together despite her hinting at divorce?
Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa's marriage hit rock bottom in the latest episode (September 20) of the show. Kalani and Asuelu had been struggling to get on the same page ever since she had a fallout with his family. Asuelu's mother had been asking the family for money and it was slowly taking a toll on their relationship. However, after coming to an understanding, Kalani and Asuelu managed to set things straight between them. While fans thought this would mark the end of their bickering, coronavirus hit their relationship hard. Covid-19 pushed restrictions on people that they were not expecting.
Right from lockdown to staying indoors, the rules were the same for everyone. Amid this, it looked like Asuelu was not thrilled with the restrictions imposed. The episode depicted Kalani getting fed up with Asuelu's actions after he decided to go play volleyball with his friends amid Covid-19. Kalani sat down with her mother, Lisa, and spoke about the time she caught Asuelu lying. She revealed Asuelu had been going out regularly and when questioned, he suggested that he had gone out for a drive. However, Kalani had a tracker on his phone that allowed her to see the location he was at.
When confronted, Asuelu tried to justify his actions and assured her that he had taken all the measures. Looking at his behavior, Kalani alleged it was almost like Asuelu was trying to get coronavirus. Fearing the safety of her children and the rest of the family members, Kalani made the decision of sending Asuelu to his family.
By giving him a one-way ticket, Kalani made it clear that she was serious about having to rethink where they stood in their relationship. At the same time, seeing how they would often fight while staying in quarantine, Kalani questioned if there would ever be a solution for their relationship.
She opened up about her doubts to her mother and admitted she was tired. Lisa stated she supported her daughter's decision as she just wanted to see her happy. While Kalani did raise questions about her marriage and hinted she wanted a divorce, things have been doing well for the couple. Unlike what was shown on the show, the pair looking happier and in a better place. Kalani and Asuelu often share TikTok videos on their social media and have made it clear that they are stronger than ever.
