This story contains major spoilers for '9-1-1 Lone Star' Episode 3 'Texas Pride'

There is very little we know about the wry chief paramedic Michelle Blake played by Liv Tyler. She is very intelligent, arrogant and assertive. She has a flirty energy with Rob Lowe's Owen Strand and we're all here for their chemistry).

At the same time, Michelle has a past that she cannot put behind her - she is haunted by the disappearance of her sister, Iris.

In the first episode, Michelle just shows up at Dustin Shepard's (Jon Foster) house demanding answers about her sister's disappearance, swearing that she won't be leaving any stone unturned to find her sister. Dustin and Iris were together when she disappeared and Michelle often blamed Dustin and their relationship for her disappearance. She knows that they fought the night that Iris went missing, but after that her footsteps vanish. It has been three years since anyone last saw her and as Michelle continued the frantic search for Iris, Dustin gets a restraining order against her.

But Michelle is not one to give up as she keeps the hunt on. Other avenues open up linking her to a certain blue pickup truck that an eyewitness saw Iris getting into. After that, Michelle gets to work to find a blue pickup truck but really, this is Austin, Texas and the sheer number of people owning blue pickup trucks is rather high.

In the latest episode, Owen helps Michelle find some new information in Iris's case. At first, when Michelle tried talking to Dustin, he shooed her off, and rightly so because the minute Iris went missing, Michelle blamed him for her murder.

But with a little persuasion from Owen, Dustin visits her the next day and reveals that he hasn't been able to forgive himself for what happened to Iris, adding that he wishes he could have protected her from what happened. He also adds that Iris had taken the wrong road and got mixed up with the wrong people.

The disappearance is particularly painful for Michelle because as it turns out, Iris called Michelle multiple times the night that she disappeared, but she did not answer. The regret has her tossing and turning in her bed ever since her sister disappeared.

While this isn't very substantial information, it is at least a step in the right direction. What will Michelle find out about her sister?

'9-1-1 Lone Star' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT.
