'7 Seeds' Part 2 ending leaves room for more stories but it's a good place to end the series nevertheless

Spoilers for '7 Seeds' Part 2.

Part 2 of Netflix's survival anime '7 Seeds' is here and despite issues with pacing (which have plagued the show since Part 1), it wraps up the storyline pretty well.

Episode 24 'Pure Brightness' concludes the arcs of the main characters Arashi Aota (Jun Fukuyama) and Hana Sugurono (Yōko Hikasa), though it leaves room for a lot more stories to come. As it turns out, however, the final story of Part 2 was absolutely pointless.

After desperately looking for a way to stop the impending missile attack being launched by the boat they're on, Summer Team B ends up discovering that the missiles were stopped by no effort of their own as the iron-eating bacteria that was eating away at the ship simply ended up damaging the ship's systems to the point where it couldn't launch the weapons.

For what it's worth, that final adventure did cement the bonds between the team and their new members. By the end of the season, Ango (Kenshō Ono) and Ryō (Takahiro Sakurai) have fully integrated into Summer Team B and appear to have grown as people from where they were at the end of Part 1.

For one thing, Matsuri Tendō (Kana Asumi) and Ryō seem to have grown closer together and Ango himself has turned into a proper leader for Summer Team B, clearly caring about their survival and developing a pretty interesting bond with Arashi.

That last part is especially interesting because of the antagonistic, perhaps even twisted relationship he had with Arashi's girlfriend Hana.

Both Arashi and Hana were initially overwhelmed when they woke up in this strange world that's both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time but by the end of Part 2, they seem to have found some semblance of normalcy.

In that aspect, Part 2 seems like a good place to end the story because even though Hana and Arashi may not have found each other yet, at least they seem prepared to actually deal with the world they now live in.

All episodes of '7 Seeds' Part 2 are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
