The Johnstons family is ready to welcome a new change in their life and that means saying goodbye to their old kitchen to welcome a dwarf kitchen in its place. As the family prepares to make the changes, they knew they will have to step out of the house for the weekend to make sure the house is fit for making floor renovation ahead of their kitchen transformation.

Amber Johnston had the idea that they should go out for camping to ensure that the family gets some time to spend together. However, she had one condition and that was to not have any phones or gadgets during their outing. Amber informed the family that everyone had to go tech-free as it would be good to cut social media for some time and enjoy the quality time together.

Trent Johnston was the first one to raise the red flag and Amber revealed he was always attached to his phone. Meanwhile, the Johnston children also struggled to keep away as they were used to having their phones with them all the time. Luckily, Amber had a great idea in mind to make sure they stay away from their phones. She brought a locker and made sure to not reveal its password.

The Johnstons were forced to stay together and spend a good time. The Johnston children struggled to find a silver lining in spending time outside the house. However, Trent thought it would be a good time to teach them a thing or two about surviving in the wilderness.

Trent revealed they already knew how to start a fire and wanted them to know how to make a shelter. While Trent thought he did a perfect job at showing them how a shelter is made, Alex Johnston thought it was just four trees joined together. He surely was not impressed.

The family then decided to have a kickball game and divided themselves into teams. There was team Amber and team Trent. Amber's team managed to win but what counted the most was the fun that everyone had together.

Amber was pleased with the time the family got to spend together. While Trent was happy as well, he decided he was never going to spend another day outside his house as they did.

'7 Little Johnstons' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
