'7 Little Johnstons': From being abandoned to graduating high school, Trent and Amber recall Anna's unusual life
Anna Johnston has finally graduated high school and is set to take a new step in life as she prepares to enter college life. The season premiere of '7 Little Johnstons' showed Anna beaming with happiness as she went on stage to get her degree. Amber and Trent Johnston also stood there like proud parents when they saw Anna receiving her certificate.
The two recalled how happy they were to see Anna up on that stage because of the rollercoaster ride she has had. The pair took the viewers down a memory lane as they recalled that they met Anna after finding out that she had been abandoned by her family after they found out about her height.
Anna was abandoned by her biological family in Siberia. Hearing this, Amber and Trent knew that she had to be brought home to a family that would love her. The two packed their bags and made their way to Siberia and came across a scared Anna. When they first met her, she could not stop herself from crying and screaming.
Amber stated that her reaction was justified because she had never seen people who were short and like her. Later, Trent took Anna in his arms with the hopes that she would become comfortable. After some time he saw her resting her head on his shoulder which made him think that she was finally accepting him.
However, he was proved wrong when he felt a sharp pain and realized that she had bitten him and her teeth were deep inside his collar bone. Regardless of this, he decided to carry her with the hope that she would ease in. When it came to Amber and Anna, the two formed a bond quite easily.
Anna eased in and felt comfortable to spend some time with Amber. While the two got Anna home, there were still times when she would cry and scream. Amber and Trent understood it came from the situation that she was kept in for a long time. There had been incidents where Anna would wait at the door or start packing her bags.
Fortunately, she felt comfortable and at home once she met the rest of the family. Amber confessed that there are still times when Anna has her moments where she gets emotional but added that she was in a better place than before.
Trent and Amber agreed that Anna's journey has been filled with ups and downs but at the end of the day, she came out victorious.
'7 Little Johnstons' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
