2021 Billboard Music Awards Full Performers List: BTS, The Weeknd and Pink among stars slated to perform from LA's Microsoft Theater

Touted as one of the biggest music award shows, the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) are all set to be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Microsoft Theater, in downtown Los Angeles. The fans will get to see some of their favorite global artists getting honored while others will raise the heat with their performances on the renowned stage. Nick Jonas will be hosting the 2021 Billboard Music Awards along with Kelly Clarkson.

Speaking of nominations, R&B icon The Weeknd is leading the pack with a whopping 16 nods including top male artist, top R&B artist, top Billboard 200 album, and top Hot 100 song. Rapper DaBaby, who gave several hits in 2020, comes close with 11 nods. Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD also earned multiple posthumous nominations sitting at the third position with 10 nods. The controversial country musician Morgan Wallen has got six nominations this year. Now, while we wait for the live show to be held on the weekend, let us take you through who will be performing at the coveted award ceremony.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd had released the biggest album of 2020 in the form of ‘After Hours’ and he will, of course, perform songs from the same including ‘Blinding Lights’ and ‘Save Your Tears.’ Leading the award show with 16 nominations, the crooner was recently snubbed by the Grammys which caused quite a stir on the Internet.



 

BTS

One of the top K-pop groups in the world, BTS will take over the stage with their brand new single ‘Butter’. The song broke several records within hours of its release. ‘Butter’ had the biggest YouTube premiere of all time with 89 million viewers watching the song launch live. The song also became the fastest music video in YouTube history to hit 10 million views achieving the feat in mere 13 minutes. BTS will deliver the world television debut of their new single, “Butter,” remote from Korea



 

Pink

Award-winning singer and songwriter Pink recently got her documentary called ‘All I Know So Far’ released on the Internet along with a Live tour album with the same name. Pink, who has more than 100 platinum certifications, is expected to perform on her hit singles like ‘Just Give Me a Reason’, ‘Raise Your Glass’ and ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’ among others.



 

The Jonas Brothers ft. Marshmello

The Jonas Brothers which includes the trio of real-life brothers Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas will be performing at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards along with EDM DJ Marshmello. They will be debuting their collaboration with their new single called ‘Leave Me Before You Love Me’.



 

Doja Cat and SZA

Doja Cat and SZA dropped a thundering hit in 2020 in the form of their song ‘Kiss Me More’ and the duo will be performing the same with an intention to floor the audience.
 



 

Bad Bunny

Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny has also been roped in for a performance at the award ceremony. The 27-year-old crooner is expected to perform a medley of his recent hit singles like ‘Dakiti’ and ‘Booker T’. The Latin star, who has been nominated for the Top Latin Artist prize might also perform ‘Te Deseo Lo Mejor’.
 



 

Karol G

The Columbian singer-songwriter is all set to make her debut at this year’s award show. The 30-year-old versatile crooner will take over the stage with her hit songs like ‘Bichota’ and ‘El Makinon’.



 

Alicia Keys

One of the most renowned artists on the planet, Alicia Keys will mark her two decades in the music industry while celebrating the 20-year anniversary of her debut album, 'Songs In A Minor'. The album was released on June 5, 2001.
 



 

Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots (also stylized as 21 Pilots) dropped their sixth album ‘Scaled and Icy’ over the weekend and they will be performing their brand new songs from the same in order to mesmerize the audience. Fans can expect ‘Shy Away’, ‘Choker’ and ‘Good Day’ to be performed live by the band.
 



 

DJ Khaled with H.E.R. and Migos

DJ Khaled had dropped his self-titled 12th studio album recently which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Taking over the stage at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, DJ Khaled will bring award-winning singer H.E.R. and hip-hop trio Migos to perform their hit single ‘We Going Crazy’.



 

 
Duran Duran

The English new wave band formed in Birmingham in 1978, and now Duran Duran will make their debut at the BBMAs to mark their 40th anniversary. The group will perform remotely from London. They will also be joined by Blur’s Graham Coxon. Duran Duran was one of the leading new wave bands in UK in the 1980s.



 

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis with Sounds of Blackness are other artists who will show their skills at the 2021 BBMAs. Ann Nesby will also join the group. Glass Animals and AJR will also be seen on the stage of the coveted award ceremony where the latter be making their debut on BBMAs stage.  

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be streamed live on NBC at 8 pm ET/5 p.m. PT. Fans can also catch all the action on several other live TV streaming services including Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu With Live TV, AT&T TV and YouTube.
