'1000-lb Sisters': Amy 'dumb as hell' for still caring for Tammy, say fans

Amy noted that her sister is thinking with 'her cooter and not her brain' as she puts her new relationship above her health

For Tammy and Amy Slaton, Tammy's weight heavily strains their relationship. As much as Amy would like to be with her sister, she is stuck in a parental role, torn between caring for Tammy and her own family. And while she encourages her sister to take charge of her own life, weight loss doesn't seem like a priority for Tammy.

With Tammy's new relationship, her siblings are rightfully worried about Philip's real intentions, as he seems to be a feeder. While Amy didn't join Chris and Misty when they confronted her, she still felt the need to talk to her sister about it.

Amy approached the topic with caution, asking just how serious the couple were and if marriage was on the charts. Tammy stated that she wants to build a life and a solid foundation before getting serious. Tammy claims that she and Phillip have discussed marriage but nothing concrete as of now.

Amy, however, felt as though a relationship should be the last thing on Tammy's mind. She noted that Tammy could date whoever she wants, but it's on her if she makes a mistake. Tammy countered, saying that Amy was not her mother. However, Amy disagreed as she continued to do everything for her sister. During her confessional, Amy blatantly stated that Tammy was 'thinking with her cooter and not her brain', and fans agreed wholeheartedly.

Fans also argued that maybe Amy should leave Tammy be, so that she truly understands why she needs her sister around. "If I was Amy, I would make Tammy do everything on her own. She disrespects the f--k outta her at every chance she gets like she isn't doing EVERYTHING for her. #1000lbsisters" tweeted a fan.
