Want to add a little musical twist to your Tuesday mornings? ‘Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist’ is back with a new season and it picks up seven weeks after we left off in the first season finale.

In its second season, ‘Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist’ continues to explore the feelings we keep buried on the inside, the human impulse for connection and the undeniable healing power of music and dance.

Following a tragedy, Zoey (Jane Levy) and the Clarke family begin to recalibrate and navigate their new normal. As she finds herself in a new dynamic at work and in her love life, Zoey’s musical powers will continue to both awkwardly complicate and inform her worldview as she attempts to rediscover joy and connect with those around her.

Mo (Alex Newell), Max (Skylar Astin) and Simon (John Clarence Stewart) have a new bond and it may change the central love triangle in the show. Featuring musical performances across different genres and time periods, did you know ‘Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist’ won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming in its freshman season?

Lauren Graham seems to be exiting the show. In an interview with TVLine, Zoey’s Playlist showrunner Austin Winsberg confirms that Lauren Graham’s Season 2 involvement was “unfortunately just a sad victim of scheduling.”

“When Lauren had signed on to do [Disney+’s] Mighty Ducks [reboot], they were supposed to start shooting in March, and they were going to be done well in advance so that she could be back for Season 2. But because of the pandemic, and the way everything went down, their shooting schedule ended up being the exact same as our show’s shooting schedule.”
