ATLANTA, GEORGIA: The outfit Yung Miami wore to Takeoff's funeral has generated a lot of criticism online and the City Girls hip-hop star took to social media to respond to criticism she received. Miami dressed entirely in black for Takeoff's memorial service.

She was seen wearing a black leather trench coat with a sheer black mini dress, thigh-high Balenciaga boots, and stockings. Fans were in shock as soon as the word of Takeoff's untimely death, which occurred in the early hours of November 1, broke. On November 1, the smallest member of the Grammy-winning trap band Migos was shot and killed at a Houston bowling alley. Reports state that his uncle and bandmate Quavo were present at the bowling alley but were unharmed. After learning of the tragic incident, friends and followers of Takeoff—whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball—took to social media to pay tribute to him.

Yung wrote “I came and showed my support and that’s all that matters! What I choose to do AFTER the funeral has nothing to do with anything!!!,” on the comments section of a post from The Neighborhood Talk. “When my baby father died I did the same s*** actually I was shaking my a** on the car. What I wear and me taking pics has nothing to do with me COMING TO SUPPORT AND BE THERE FOR SOMEONE WHEN ITS NEEDED!!! NEXT.” the musician added.

Some found it strange that she was being chastised for taking pictures at his memorial service as if it were unusual. A user, on Twitter, wrote, “Y’all out here acting like WE don’t take pictures after funerals. y’all say anything for the internet @YungMiami305 & @KeyshiaKaoir looked amazing CELEBRATING Takeoff’s life. Grow tf up.” Others continued to call her out for being insensitive. Another user said, ““Yo… @YungMiami305 posting pics of herself from Takeoff’s funeral as if it was a fashion show. Shows just how desensitized this generation is to death ..She had to make sure she had a IG & Twitter moment .. SMFH.” There was more criticism that had come Yung’s way, “@YungMiami305 no cap you a weird a** bihh.. social media done poisoned a lot of y’all brains clearly you didn’t give af bout Takeoff you just went for the look smh” said another user.
