Yung Baby Tate isn't holding back anything when it comes to showing her life on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta'. Tate isn't just giving fans a peek of her budding rap career but also her love life.

In the recently aired episode of 'LHHATL', the 25-year-old 'I Am' rapper casually revealed that she was texting fellow rapper Guapdad 4000 during a conversation with Omeretta the Great. Tate explained that she was visiting Los Angeles for some work, but was also going to take some time out to catch up with Bay Area-based rapper Guapdad. She joked about how Guap tries to portray the image of being a player, but according to her he is just a big 'nerd'. She appeared to be very excited to meet her new boyfriend.

When fans heard Tate reveal that she was seeing Guap, they were both surprised and amused. A fan tweeted, "B*TCH NOT GUAPDAD 4000! #LHHATL." Another fan wrote, "Oh wow this whole time I thought guapdad 4000 was gay #LHHATL." "Guapdad 4000 when his name was brought up #LHHATL," joked a fan. "Aye, Tate got me crying. She said she going see Guapdad and see where his head at, and where he tryna put his head at x___X #LHHATL," commented a fan. 

Who is Guapdad 4000?

Akeem Ali Douglas Hayes aka Guapdad 4000 is a Filipino-American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born in July 1992, he kicked off his musical career in 2017 after releasing his first mixtape 'Scamboy Color'. He released his debut studio album 'Dior Deposits' in October 2019. However, Guap got his big break when he was roped in for a recording session of 'Revenge of the Dreamers III' compilation by Dreamville. Guap ended up featuring on three songs and even earned a Grammy nomination for one of the tracks. 

But before he broke into the music industry, Guap was a scammer. In an interview with Highsnobiety, he shared, "The money goes so fast, especially when designer is so expensive. Maybe you can’t get some shit off. Maybe you buy a bad batch of [credit] cards. I was just doing bad. So I said I don't want to scam no more, I just want to rap about it.”  According to the outlet, owing to his scamming history his credit score was so low that he couldn't even rent an apartment when he moved to LA. Guap reportedly lived in the studio while he was recording his first mixtape. "My whole point of living there was trying to prove to myself that I didn’t want to do illegal shit. I wanted to come correct,” the rapper explained.

Finally, things seem to be looking up for Guap not only on the professional front but also personal front. In November 2020 he took to his Twitter to share that he had a crush on Yung Baby Tate. He wrote, "I got a crush on @yungbabytate." Looks like that worked out too, since Tate flew down to LA to meet him. We will get to see more of the couple's relationship on the upcoming episodes of 'LHHATL'.
