Yolanda Hadid claims Zayn 'struck' her, Internet says 'she's been crazy for years'

Zayn has issued a statement denying the claims and without naming Yolanda, he revealed that she entered their home when partner Gigi wasn't around

Yolanda Hadid is facing massive trolling on Twitter on October 28 after sources close to her told TMZ that she was "struck" by her daughter Gigi's partner Zayn. The alleged incident happened sometime last week and she's seriously considering going to the police, sources with information told the outlet. The report didn't say what led to the alleged assault, but Yolanda is standing by her account that she was "struck" by the 'Pillow Talk' singer. 

Zayn and Gigi have been in a solid relationship for a long time now after they went through a considerable on-off phase. They welcomed a daughter they named 'Khai' in September 2020. Being extremely private about the birth and the other details which also include a glimpse of their bundle of joy, the famous parents have never given in to fan requests to share these moments with them to protect their baby's privacy. After news of the alleged altercation went public, Zayn took to his Twitter account and came forward with his part of the story, reiterating the fact that he is a private person.

Speaking to TMZ that reported on this incident, Zayn said, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private." He also took to Twitter with a longer statement where he revealed Yolanda had entered their home when Gigi wasn't around. Twitter is buzzing with opinions where she's now being called an "invasive mother/mother-in-law" and another tweet read, "Good Luck Dua," referring to Anwar Hadid's girlfriend, pop star Dua Lipa. 

Zayn's Twitter statement read, "As you know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren't thrown on a world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been "leaked" to the press. I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves."

Internet sides with Zayn

"We all immediately knew it was Yolanda right? She's been crazy for years. Save Zayn, Gigi and their child from that woman," a tweet said referring to the fact that Zayn didn't name his partner's mom in his statement but it was clear who it was about. "There is no chance in hell he hit Yolanda. She has stayed controlling and crazy for years," another user tweeted. "I don't trust Yolanda Hadid. I really hope Zayn is the kind of person I perceive him to be. This whole story is messed up and I mostly feel sorry for the child," a third tweeted. "We know the truth, Zayn never struck her . Yolanda is a liar like the whole Hadid family," claimed another irate Twitter user. "Yolanda is definitely an INVASIVE mother/ mother-in-law. I'm not surprised that she went to Zayn and Gigi's place without telling them ... Good luck to Dua," read another tweet. 

After this Zayn's post rumors have been rife that the singer and Gigi have split. People writes that Gigi and Zayn have split up and are citing multiple sources who confirm exclusively to them that the supermodel, 26, and the singer, 28, have broken up.

"They are not together right now. They are both good parents though," said a Hadid family friend. "They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild."

"Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time," Gigi's rep told People in a statement, in response to allegations that Yolanda has made on her partner.
