Four months after giving birth to a baby girl with partner Zayn Malik, it seems that model Gigi Hadid has finally revealed her daughter’s name to the public. On Thursday, January 21, night, Hadid changed her Instagram bio to add “khai’s mom”, causing fans to speculate that ‘Khai’ is indeed the name of her daughter. 

Fans of Hadid and Malik from across the world have erupted in happiness and poured their love for Baby Khai all over social media. The name ‘Khai’ is already trending on Twitter. 

What does 'Khai' mean?

Usually, a boy’s name, the beautiful word ‘Khai’ in Arabic means ‘the crowned one’ or ‘royalty’. It is absolutely fitting if Zayn and Gigi have indeed chosen this name for their baby, who is their little princess. Incidentally, the Arabic word ‘Malik’ means King, so together, there is no doubt that Khai Malik is indeed precious royalty. 

The power couple welcomed their child in September 2020. Though the supermodel and the singer are yet to share any photographs of the baby, they had consistently posted adorable snapshots of themselves spending some quality time with their daughter. In fact, many of Hadid’s Instagram posts of late have mentioned snippets about the baby. She is truly basking in the happiness and joy of becoming a mother. 

Reportedly, the couple had “never looked happier” and their relationship has been soaring after the birth of their first child. In October 2020, US Weekly quoted an insider source who revealed that the couple is absolutely loving parenthood. They are both on cloud nine to spend time with their little girl and have been appreciating every moment with her. 

Did Zayn tattoo his baby's name on his wrist?

Aside from Hadid’s Instagram bio update, there is another piece of evidence that is strengthening speculations about ‘Khai’ being the name of junior Hadid-Malik. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted a new tattoo on Malik’s wrist, which apparently is the Arabic word ‘Khai’. Social media users cannot keep calm after this new detail surfaced on the internet. In one still from a video, the Arabic tattoo in red on Malik’s wrist can be seen. A zoomed screengrab shows the tattoo as ‘خاي’ which literally translates to ‘Khai’. 

People are rooting for Malik to change his Instagram bio to ‘Khai’s dad’. We can only wait for the new parents to officially announce their daughter’s name to the world.
