'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 9: What is the price that Teeter and Colby paid for revenge?

They're now in this together and any qualms about the two expressing their feelings are as good as over

Spoilers for  'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 9 titled 'Meaner Than Evil' 

'Yellowstone's latest episode 'Meaner than Evil' begins with Colby (Denim Richards) rushing through the river toward Teeter (Jen Landon). Although Colby himself is hurt, he is not as seriously injured and in shock, as Teeter is, who has a deep gash on her forehead just above her eye. After giving her the necessary immediate first aid, Colby and Teeter share a tender moment. They're now in this together and any qualms about the two expressing their feelings are as good as over. He then takes her back to the ranch. 

After the vet sees to Teeter and as Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J. Smith) is guarding the bunkhouse, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) is awaiting John Dutton (Kevin Costner) to give instructions. He is told to do whatever it is to vanquish the foolish Wade and his son and then send them both to the train station. By now, everyone knows that the train station is where the Duttons put potential risks to rest, forever. No one returns from there - except Walker (Ryan Bingham). 

Now John must get what is his. When Wade Morrow (Boots Southerland) first showed up, John had warned him that he will take what he is owed back. It is revealed in the latest episode that it is the brand. When John is telling his plan of action to Rip, he also tells him to get his brand back. So finally after Walker skins the Yellowstone brand off of Wade's chest, Colby pulls on the rope hanging him. 

Then Rip tells the gang that now that their revenge is exacted, they must pay the price of revenge. Later, by the fire, Rip brands Colby and Teeter with John Dutton's brand. The secrets of that night are forever etched in their skin and they can never escape it. The Duttons won't let that happen. Rip won't either. These dark secrets won't ever wash off of them. But perhaps that is what they wanted when they sought revenge. When the Duttons get to doing this, they only do it their way. 

Thus making the newest couple a fixture at the Dutton ranch. 

'Yellowstone 'airs on Sundays at 9 pm ET/PT on Paramount Network.
