Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Finale Episode 10 - 'The World is Purple'

'Yellowstone' Season 3 finale was quite a load to take on. The episode, which started quite slow and steady as per 'Yellowstone' standards, picked up pace towards the last five minutes when everything blew up (quite literally). And among those that were lost (and many others who we hope aren't lost in the 'Yellowstone' universe), there was also Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) lying in a pile of dirt on the Dutton ranch. This has left thousands of his fans nervous about his life. Jimmy is one of the beloved characters on the show and losing him to a death like this one is a big no for his fans.

"Wait a hot damn minute. Is Jimmy ok!?!?!? That ending derailed me I almost forgot to be outraged by that OTHER cliffhanger! #YellowstoneTV," a fan tweeted.

Many are even reading into the bad omens, just as we did. "More I think about the ending I think it's Jimmy since the birds were circling above the ranch. #YellowstoneTV," another fan tweeted.

Season 3 did not fare well for the young cowboy. At the beginning of the season, he gets involved in a life-threatening accident when at the rodeo. That leads to John Dutton (Kevin Costner) warning him that he must never get back to rodeo ever again. Towards the end of the season, he becomes a Dutton man as he gets himself branded with the Yellowstone brand.

The next day, his girlfriend Mia (Eden Brolin) keeps disagreeing with why he did it. Later, they meet a barrel racer who is paralyzed from the waist down. Mia shows Jimmy how the woman continues to rodeo regardless of her disability. Jimmy tells her that he's scared he might die or end up in a wheelchair but Mia tells him that he needs to "cowboy the f**k up." She warns him against being just another cattle for the rich man, and that if he were to return to the rodeo, they would "rodeo our way across the country."

Pumped up on this, Jimmy tries to get on a horse. But barely some seconds into bucking it, he falls off the horse and on the muddy ground unconscious. It is likely that his spine is injured. But how serious? Is he dead for good? It is going to be a long while before we get to know what has happened with Jimmy or how serious are his injuries. Till then, we can only hope he is alive, if not well.

At the same time, we don't think the character will be killed off. Jimmy has created a father-son relationship with Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J. Smith), a relationship that we hope that the makers won't want to compromise on. Hence, White might reprise his role next season, but he might be too broken.
