The popular Chinese series 'Story of Yanxi Palace' was streamed over 15 billion times when it first aired in 2018. Following the success of the original, the period drama starring Wu Jinyan, Charmaine Sheh, Qin Lan and Xu Kai is returning with a spinoff series titled 'Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures'.

Plot

'Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures' sees the daughter of Wei Yingluo and Qianlong, Rain Wang as the seventh Princess Zhaohua and her efforts to win the heart of a Mongolian Prince while she fights the vendetta against her family.

Wu Jinyan

Wu Jinyan will be seen playing Rain Wang’s mother Wei Yingluo in 'Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures'. Although she has appeared in television series such as 'Beauties at the Crossfire' and 'The Legend of Haolan', the Chinese actress gained immense popularity for her role in 'Story of Yanxi Palace', which earned her the 65th spot on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list.

Wang Herun

New cast member Wang Herun appears as Princess Rain Wang in 'Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures'. She is popular for featuring in 'Yesterday Once More', 'Legend of Fuyao' and 'The Story of Ming Lan'.

Creators/Showrunners

Hui Kai Dong has directed 'Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures' with Yu Zheng serving as the producer. Meanwhile, Feng Nong has taken care of the script for the drama period series.
