'XO, Kitty' Episode 7 Review: Kitty Song Covey finds an unlikely ally in Yuri Han as they uncover secrets

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The halfway point of 'XO, Kitty' is long gone, and things are getting a lot more serious now. Don’t worry, the comedy, romance, and drama are still very much intact, but Kitty Song Covey is closer to finding the truth about her mother. In the previous episode, Kitty was enamored by Yuri Han and the intimate dream about them together didn’t help her cause either. That attraction is delved into a little deeper in 'XO, Kitty' Episode 7 for all Yuri and Kitty shippers! Kuri? Yitty? We can figure out a ship name later!
While Kitty might be growing fond of and attracted to Yuri in this Netflix series, looks like fate has something entirely different in store for her. However, all the students must go through detention in this ‘Breakfast Club’-esque episode of 'XO, Kitty' that brings all the major characters together in one room, in the same episode!

Yuri and Kitty put aside their differences
It is unsure how long this will last, but despite their rocky start in 'XO, Kitty' Episode 7 over a necklace, Yuri and Kitty put aside the animosity to work together. Both the girls have figured out that their mothers were connected back in 1993, and went to school together. Kitty wants to find out more about whether her mother had another child, whereas Yuri needs to find evidence to destroy her mother. Well, at least Yuri and Kitty are slightly on the same page. This calls for them sneaking out of detention, and trying to find anything they can about 1993.
It doesn’t take long for them to realize that their mothers were once best friends and had the same necklace, and clearly, something went wrong. However, Kitty realizes that instead of her mother, it might have been Principal Jina Lim, Yuri’s mother, who was pregnant in 1993. Kitty is overwhelmed with information and the attraction she feels for Yuri, but it takes one kiss to snap out of it!
Kitty and Dae-heon finally kiss!
This is the moment everyone had been waiting for since the first episode of ‘XO, Kitty’ but now that it’s happened, it feels underwhelming. The Netflix series had built up potential romances for Kitty, including Min Ho and Yuri, that Dae was simply forgotten for a moment. However, Yuri had a change of heart and publicly broke up with Dae, which is the push he needed to finally kiss Kitty. At this point, the aftermath of the break-up is more exciting than the kiss. Was this intentional on the series’ part?
