'Wednesday' actress Jenna Ortega revealed that she shot the series while she had Covid-19. She admitted that she was infected with the deadly virus while filming the iconic dance scene of the supernatural comedy-horror series 'Wednesday' on Netflix.

Jenna Ortega reveals she choreographed 'Wednesday's GOTHIC dance routine by herself
In Episode 4 of the series, an iconic dance is performed by Jenna and she revealed that she herself choreographed the dance routine. Shared widely on social media, Jenna's dance scene turned out to be one of the best scenes of the series that is currently streaming on Netflix.
However, in a recent interview with NME, talking about the dance scene, the actress revealed that "it’s crazy because it was my first day with COVID so it was awful to film.”. She further told by admitting that “Yeah, I woke up and – it’s weird, I never get sick and when I do it’s not very bad – I had the body aches. I felt like I’d been hit by a car and that a little goblin had been let loose in my throat and was scratching the walls of my esophagus. They were giving me medicine between takes because we were waiting on the positive result.”
Though the news outlet reported that Wednesday's production company MGM confirmed to them through email that "strict COVID protocols were followed and once the positive test was confirmed production removed Jenna from set,” fans and the public have come on social media with mixed responses to Jenna's exposing of the crew members as she knew she was ill from Covid.
Taking it to Twitter, many users pointed out the 20-year-old actress risking the health of everyone involved in the making of the series. One user wrote: "Why wasn’t she in quarantine" while someone wrote: Another tweet read: "Even if it hadn't been covid, there are still OTHER infections she could've had?? and what then? just infect everyone??" and a user tweeted: "Oh she’s definitely not the only person responsible but she could have refused. I understand she would’ve faced pressure on it but my sympathy kind of goes out the window considering it’s not her health she’s jeopardizing". One user said, "An amazing scene and performance ruined in knowing the selfishness involved by the actress and/or the studio." Another user said, "All that to say, she should get backlash. She has access to testing &isn't risking firing for missing a few days. If someone in her privileged position isn't willing to do what is right--something objectively easier for her--how are the rest of us supposed to protect ourselves??" A user said, "jenna ortega filming that dance scene while she had covid is not impressive, it’s horrible. absolutely callous disregard for her coworkers."
