UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 25 Episode 12 showed two artists from Team John Legend, Nathan Chester and Val T Webb, competing against each other.

During the Knockouts round, Nathan chose to sing 'Fooled Around and Fell in Love' by Elvin Bishop, while Val decided to perform 'Sweet Love' by Anita Baker. Val's performance ended with all the judges standing up.

Reba McEntire gushed over Val's performance and said, "I was blown away by your tone, crisp and clean, that was beautiful. You took us to church."

Chance the Rapper mentioned that he noticed some problems with Val's pitch at the start.

"There was something that really really moved me form beginning to end about Nathan's performance," Dan added.

John Legend chose to proceed with Nathan Chester after being impressed by his performance, describing it as having a cinematic quality and evoking the time period of the song. He selected the vintage singer to advance.

While talking about Nathan's performance, John said, "It had power but it also had mess in the right moment."

Soon after, the viewers shared their take on Val T Webb's performance on social media.

An X user said, "Val T. Webb letting her hair down, seemed a tad nervous in the opening, trying to catch her breath. Such a sweetness to her tone, loving swoop into head voice and gave us a little grit in the bigger notes. Nice. Sh ewas rocking out by the end."

Followed by a user who penned, "Um… sorry. That’s very pitchy."

Another user said, "I was hoping someone would steal Val after that performance."

One user wrote, "Val T Webb has been eliminated."
