LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: American rapper Killer Mike was captured on video leaving the 2024 Grammy Awards in handcuffs, a shocking turn of events after his triumphant night at music's grandest event. Footage posted on X showed the 'Run The Jewels' rapper being escorted by police with his hands bound behind his back. According to reports from TMZ, Killer Mike was detained following a reported physical altercation with a security guard during the Grammys. it's clarified that he is not currently under arrest, and law enforcement is actively investigating the incident to determine the details.

The night proved to be a roller coaster for the rapper, detained despite achieving victories in all three Grammy categories he was nominated for, including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song. During his acceptance speech, he shared the personal loss of a precious "jewellery" piece. "I lost a painting with my mother and grandmother's picture on it. And in losing that piece of jewellery I learnt there's no gift as precious as what they put inside," expressed the rapper as he extended gratitude to his mother and grandmother on stage

In the course of this venture, Denise encountered affluent white women associated with cocaine. Sensing an opportunity, she seized it by supplying them with the drug. Why was Killer Mike called ‘misogynistic’?

In February 2016, Killer Mike encountered backlash during his activism for Bernie Sanders when he quoted American anti-racism and LGBTQ advocate Jane Elliott in reference to Hillary Clinton. Killer Mike wins Grammy 2024 for Best Rap Album of The Year

During the pre-show ceremony preceding the main Grammy telecast, Killer Mike clinched three awards. He secured Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his track 'Scientists and Engineers' and Best Rap Album for 'Michael,' his sixth studio album released in June 2023. The song 'Scientists & Engineers' featured Andre 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane. In the Best Rap Performance category, it triumphed over strong contenders like Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar’s 'The Hillbillies,' Black Thought’s 'Love Letter,' Coi Leray’s 'Players,' and Drake and 21 Savage’s 'Rich Flex.'

In the Best Rap Song category, it outshone competitors including 'Rich Flex,' Doja Cat’s 'Attention,' Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Aqua’s 'Barbie World,' and Lil Uzi Vert’s 'Just Wanna Rock.' Killer Mike’s album 'Michael' also secured victory over notable works by Drake and 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, Nas, and Travis Scott in the Best Rap Album category.
