Iconic music producer Metro Boomin lost his mother after she was reportedly killed by her husband. The unfortunate incident apparently happened on Friday, June 3 but further details on the case are still awaited. According to TMZ, Metro Boomin’s mother Leslie Joanne Wayne was murdered by her spouse who is not Boomin’s father.
 
The publication also reported that the husband killed himself after committing the heinous crime. An autopsy for an official cause of death is still awaited. While Metro Boomin has, so far, stayed mum on the news, his rep confirmed that Leslie died over the weekend. The rep added that he and his family requested privacy during this difficult time. Metro Boomin is known for producing bangers for hip-hop stalwarts like 21 Savage, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Drake, Kanye West, Future, and Travis Scott among others.

Leslie Joanne Wayne raised Metro Boomin and his three siblings in St. Louis and she was reportedly one of the first to recognize her son’s exceptional musical skills. It was Leslie who encouraged Metro Boomin to pursue his passion through adolescence and early adulthood. Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Tyler Wayne, had once dubbed his mother as his biggest inspiration.
 
According to multiple reports, Boomin’s mother would drive her son over eight hours from St. Louis to Atlanta to help him achieve his musical aspirations.  Speaking of Metro Boomin’s mother's murder, her body was found by authorities outside of the Atlanta area. The details of his mother’s husband are yet to be revealed. MEAWW will keep you posted.

‘Nobody should lose their mother like that’

Tributes poured in for Metro Boomin’s mother on social media. Rapper Rae Sremmurd tweeted, “Rest In Peace Trouble and Prayers to Metro Boomin and his family” whereas, Juicy J posted, “Prayers up for Metro Boomin” and Mike Will Made It added, “Prayers up for my brother @MetroBoomin”. Another user shared, “Just saw the news about Metro Boomin’d mother…my god. Wtf is going on? Comfort to him.”
 
Meanwhile, one user tweeted, “Praying for metro boomin….nobody should lose their mother like that.” And, the next one said, “Yo what am I reading about metro boomin’s mother, that is insane to hear, utmost prayers and love to that man right now. RIP.” One individual said, “The combination of waking up to the news about Trouble and Metro Boomin’s mother is just too much. It’s not a cloud in the sky right now, but it’s so dark outside.” And, one concluded, “Sending Prayers and condolences to @MetroBoomin. I’m so sorry for the senseless & devastating loss of your mother. This is too much! Too many people being shot & murdered every day. God have mercy.”
