'The Voice' Season 18: Why isn't the show airing tonight and when will it return?
'The Voice' Season 18 recently premiered on NBC. Usually, the series has a two-hour episode on Mondays followed by an hour-long episode on Tuesday evenings. But this week, fans and viewers were shocked to find out that the series will not be airing its fourth live audition episode on Tuesday.
If you are wondering why the series isn't airing with a new episode this Tuesday evening, it is because of the Democratic primary’s Super Tuesday voting day. This is when one-third of the delegates are up for a grab in 14 states and one US territory.
Because of this, according to the network's schedule, NBC will be airing the NBC News Decision 2020 Super Tuesday instead of its regular series, 'The Voice'. While we hope that the series will go back to its regular schedule next week, the lineup is still fuzzy.
Taking to Twitter, fans and viewers voice their unhappiness about 'The Voice' Season 18 not airing on Tuesday.
"Please tell me after this week, the voice goes back to Monday AND Tuesday?? Please ... we need 2 nights," a fan wrote.

"I really hate these presidential debates airing on TV. They're ruining television shows airing at the exact same time such as #GameOfGames and #TheVoice. Why can't these be on live via website where we can watch for free??" a fan wrote. Adding to that another shared, "I made hubby bring my dinner into the living room so I could watch #thevoice tonight but then I realized #SuperTuesday was on TV instead."
"I can't believe the Democratic polls preempted the voice tonight. That sucks!" a fan shared. While another wrote, "So bummed the Voice isn't on tonight@blakeshelton #TheVoice."
"@blakeshelton #TheVoice Will miss the voice tonight due to Super Tuesday bet all the coaches are at the polls somewhere in L.A," another fan added.
'The Voice' Season 18 premiered on February 24 with coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Nick Jonas alongside Carson Daly and the host. The series airs every Monday and Tuesday nights only on NBC. Check your local listings for more information.
