Why is Amy Slaton divorcing Michael Halterman? '1000-lb Sisters' star moves out of family home after birth of second son
DIXON, KENTUCKY: In a shocking turn of events '1000-lb Sisters' star Amy Slaton has reportedly split with Micheal Halterman just a few months after the birth of their second son. According to reports, the couple has been facing issues and Amy will soon file for divorce from her husband. She shares two sons with Micheal, 2-year-old Gage, and 7 months old Glenn.
Amy has also reportedly left their family home with her sons and moved in with her sister Tammy Slaton. Tammy has recently gotten married and moved out of the rehab facility she was staying in during the course of her treatment. The couple has been facing troubles for some time now though they have yet to announce anything related to their split.

Why is Amy Slaton leaving Michael Halterman?
The Sun claimed on Monday that '1000-lb Sisters' star Amy Slaton Halterman and her husband, Michael Halterman, with whom she has two young sons, have reportedly split. Amy has already moved out of the house she shares with Michael and will soon file for divorce. The couple's relationship has been turbulent for a year now and apparently, the problems are so serious that the reality star is looking to get a divorce.
The main issue between Amy and Micheal is, “Amy says Michael is lazy and has been jealous of her attention toward the kids,” an inside source stated in the reports. Also, Michael has been slacking off after the birth of their second son and is not helpful which caused some trouble between the couple.
Amy Slaton's frustration with Michael in the latest episode
The fans of the show got a glimpse of Amy's problems with Michael in a recent episode. Amy has been turning to her husband for help as she deals with raising two young children and family issues. Michael though has not been helping or supporting his wife or kids much, despite requests to do so and Amy is getting frustrated.
In the episode following Glenn's birth, Amy went back home. At a BBQ, Amy is left to look after Gage and Glenn as Michael enjoys his food. Amy, who is still recovering from a C-section, is irritated that Michael isn't there to help her with the children. Afterward, Amy admits in front of the cameras that Michael only plays video games at home and doesn't help out with any household chores. “Daddy ain’t doin’ s**t. Sometimes I feel like I got three kids,” Amy said during the episode. Michael and Amy have yet to officially comment on the report of their split.
