LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alexa Davalos, a regular series member, will not reprise her role in the upcoming Season 5 of CBS' 'FBI: Most Wanted', according to reports from Variety.

'FBI: Most Wanted', developed by Dick Wolf, centers on the Fugitive Task Force, an elite unit dedicated to the relentless pursuit and apprehension of the individuals featured on the Bureau's Most Wanted list. The show's executive producers include David Hudgins and Todd Arnow.

Alexa Davalos became part of the series at the commencement of Season 3 portraying Kristin Gaines, a former Naval Intelligence Officer and member of the Fugitive Task Force. Her departure marks another adjustment to the ensemble cast of the Wolf Entertainment production.

Why is Alexa Davalos leaving the show?

According to Deadline, Davalos was unceremoniously informed on set that her character's time on the show is coming to an end with Season 4. Nonetheless, the conversation was 'amicable', the site reported.

Notably, Davalos joined the show's ranks after the exit of another series regular, Kellan Lutz, who played Kenny Crosby. Lutz's character concluded his journey in the Season 3 premiere.

Subsequently, Julian McMahon, who played team leader Jess LaCroix, also left the series during Season 3. He was succeeded by Dylan McDermott's portrayal of Remy Scott.

Alexa Davalos' notable roles

Prior to her involvement in the CBS drama, Alexa Davalos played a significant role in 'The Man in the High Castle'. Her television portfolio also includes regular appearances in 'Mob City' and 'Reunion'.

She has also made guest appearances in series such as 'The Punisher', 'Raines', 'Angel', and 'Undeclared'. Furthermore, she has played supporting roles in television movies including 'And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself' and 'Surrender, Dorothy'.

In the most recent season of 'FBI: Most Wanted', Davalos' character, Kristin Gaines, contributed to the team's efforts to apprehend Benji, a fugitive responsible for the death of Remy's brother.

As the entertainment industry grapples with ongoing strikes, the official return of Season 5 of the Dick Wolf series remains uncertain due to the involvement of writers and SAG actors on picket lines.

The circumstances surrounding the departure of Gaines' character and the potential for Davalos' return for a single episode to provide closure to her character's arc remain undetermined.

The news has left ardent fans of the show heartbroken. One social media user wrote, "That’s it for me watching the show then. She was the reason I tuned in." Another said, "Noooo I wanted her and remy to get together."

"Yeah peace out. She was the main reason I kept watching if I’m gonna be honest. She brings so many layers to her character. The Wolf Pack doing this to the fans …Again. I’ve stopped watching several shows cause of stupid decisions like this. Good Lord she’s so good too! Hate it," a third wrote.
