LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Whoopi Goldberg has angered many after showing her happiness over Tucker Carlson’s ouster from Fox News. ‘The View’ host announced on Monday's episode, April 24, “Word has just come down that Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways.” The statement reportedly attracted cheering from the audience.

Goldberg, however, did not stop there as she asked her co-hosts to do the "wave,” before adding, “We'll talk more about it tomorrow but we wanted to make sure we let you know what was going on.” Another host of the ABC series, Sunny Hostin, noted, as per People, “I don't think anyone likes to celebrate the demise of someone's career … But, he is responsible for the derogation that we see somewhat of our democracy in this country.”

She continued to share, “And I just think as a faithful person, look at God. Look at God.” Hostin also asserted, “Karma doesn't lose anyone's address. It may misplace that address but it does not lose it.”

As per reports, Carlson was asked to leave his job on April 24 as the network said, “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.” The 53-year-old has not released any statement yet on the development. But his fans and followers were not happy with Goldberg’s remarks as a user said, “This reaction is underly disrespectful, unprofessional, and destructive. But you’re a group of women who cater towards destruction so it makes sense. Try to be better though. 🙏🏻”

‘She should be next’

A second user tweeted, “Just saw Whoopi Goldberg celebrate Tucker’s leaving FMC. Inside, Whoopi is an ugly, despicable, sub-human.” A third wrote, “The most pathetic show on earth. Hosted by the worst people on earth. @ABC needs to cancel #TheView.” Another remarked, “Is there a more revolting & racist person than Whoopi Goldberg? Or a more insidious show than the View? #TuckerCarlson.”

A critic of Goldberg posted, “She should be next.” “He has more followers than all of you combined and more influence than you could ever dream to have. It’s cute, tho, how you think he won’t end up with a bigger platform. Ppl didn’t watch him bc he was on Fox. They watched Fox 4 him,” a fan of Carlson mentioned.

Megyn Kelly also joined the critics and shared, “Not one of these women could solo host a show and get ratings. Not one. They are & will always be ensemble players. Their jealousy is on full display here, and ideological hatred too of course.” 

“Celebrating someone else’s misfortune is a liberal Democrat thing. But these people won’t be remembered 5 years from now. And Tucker will be raking in fame and fortune for a long time,” a tweet read while another added, “Now if they would only cancel your show, the world would be a better place! CNN stocks will increase with Don Lemon out, which the same would happen if your show is canceled. Meanwhile, Fox News stocks have dropped w/ Tucker out! Mull that over.”
