Who is Bryan Freedman? Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson hire same lawyer after being fired from CNN and Fox News
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Two of the most prominent men in the news industry were recently asked to step down from their roles. On Monday, April 24, Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson were reportedly fired from their jobs at CNN and Fox News respectively.
Now, Lemon and Carlson have hired Bryan Freedman as their lawyer to handle their situation, Radar Online reported. The elite entertainment lawyer has earlier worked with Megyn Kelly and Gabrielle Union as they left NBC. He has also reportedly represented reporter, Yashar Ali.

As per Freedman’s website, he’s “a practice dedicated to entertainment, business, copyright, employment, Internet, real estate, and sports law. Bryan represents clients locally in Southern California, as well as throughout the United States and around the world.”
The attorney graduated from the University of California at Berkeley before getting his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. The website noted, “He has been practicing law since 1991 and co-founded Freedman + Taitelman, LLP, with his friend and partner Michael Taitelman. Recognized as a renowned entertainment litigator, the Hollywood Reporter named Mr. Freedman one of the ‘most influential entertainment litigators in the country’ several years in a row.”
Besides, his LinkedIn profile has mentioned some of his high-profile clients, including Bella Thorne, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Jr, Mariah Carey, Alanis Morisette, Linkin Park and Lil Pump. “He also is litigation counsel to The Michael Jackson Estate. He has become the go-to lawyer in crisis litigation recently representing Deborah Dugan the Whistleblower who revealed the truth about the Recording Academy and the Grammys.....” it added.
Why did Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson hire Bryan Freedman?
Reports stated that Lemon wanted to fight with CNN since according to his contract with the network, he was authorized to work there till 2026. He reportedly seeks a monetary settlement.
CNN shared a statement, saying, “CNN and Don have parted ways. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.”
However, Lemon tweeted, “I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”
CNN denied his accusations and reportedly said, “Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.”
On the other hand, Carlson has not said anything yet about the new development in his professional life. He was reportedly in the middle of a deal re-negotiation with Fox News when he was asked to leave. The netwrok issued a statement that read, “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
