Paola Mayfield is the winner of the thrilling new reality competition series 'The GOAT' Season 1, which aims to find the 'Greatest Reality Star of All Time.'
After premiering on May 4, the Prime series finally concluded on Thursday, June 27 with Paola being crowned the winner, despite losing teeth in the process. We're not kidding, check out the season finale on Prime.
What did 'The GOAT' Season 1 winner get?
This drama-filled reality TV series brought together 14 reality TV celebrities from beloved programs like 'The Challenge', 'RuPaul's Drag Race', 'The Bachelor', and many more. It all unfolded as the participants moved into GOAT Manor. There, they battled for the coveted title of Greatest of All Time, along with a $200,000 grand prize.
In the end, Paola accepted the prize money; however, it wasn't the massive check everyone had assumed. Host Daniel Tosh said that all the losing goats had been melted down and created a 'beautiful mega goat.' (Which, presumably, is worth $200k!)
With the prize money, she assured her castmates that the amount would help expedite the process of adopting a baby girl.
Who is the runner-up in 'The GOAT' Season 1?
During the season finale, which premiered on June 27, the three finalists of 'The GOAT' Season 1 were Joe Amabile, Jason Smith, and Paola.
After losing Da’Vonne Rogers in a tough elimination last week, the remaining four players had to compete once more to secure their spot in the finale. In the end, Jill Zarin lost the race and had to bow out of the race to the finale.
During the finale, the top 3 contestants had to persuade the eliminated contestants to vote for them. Up to this point, the votes determined who would leave the GOAT Manor.
In the final vote for 'The GOAT' Season 1, Joe received only one vote out of eleven, while Jason received none. Paola swept to victory with a decisive ten votes and was crowned THE GOAT in the end.
Where is 'The GOAT' Season 1 winner now?
After joining the TLC series in season 1, Paola from '90 Day Fiancé' gained notoriety in 2014 as she chased her American spouse, Russ Mayfield. Her dedication to modeling and career-focused mindset initially caused marital problems for Paola and Russ.
However, she eventually overcame most of her issues and forged a solid bond with Russ. Their son, Axel Mayfield, was born in 2019. Paola has explored various professions over the years, including professional wrestling.
Despite having difficult times in their marriage, Paola and Russ were able to resolve their differences and keep their marriage intact. Paola decided to pursue a career in wrestling in 2021, and in July of that year, she took home her maiden wrestling title.
Paola and Russ celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in 2023 and will not be divorcing as of May 2024, despite rumors and conjecture.
