Hallmark 'A Royal Christmas Crush' is a summer rom-com that will bring the holidays early to your home

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hallmark movies have always been a classic way of finding comfort on the occasion of everyone's favorite holiday. The channel's Christmas movies have the effect of a cardigan knitted by a loved one or a sweet sip of hot chocolate infused with marshmallows. The channel's upcoming film 'A Royal Christmas Crush' brings you exactly that and more with the familiar Christmas romance crossing over with a royal adventure. A summer release, this movie is bound to bring the holiday early to your home.

The film is directed by Marita Grabiak, who is known for her work in the romance genre. Writers include Keith Hemstreet, Catherine Reay, and Kate Somerville. Andrew C Erin produced the film while Josie Fitzgerald was the executive producer. Here are the members of the cast that you will meet in this sweet Christmas movie.

Katie Cassidy

It wouldn't be a Christmas movie without a heroine who goes on a holiday and has a good old-fashioned meet-cute with a prince charming. Katie Cassidy plays Ava Jensen, who is set for a holiday full of love and surprises. The actress is known for her work in 'Supernatural' and the Selena Gomez-starrer rom-com 'Monte Carlo'. She is especially popular for playing Black Canary on the CW show 'Arrow'. 

Stephen Huszar

Stephen Huszar will play the film's male lead and Ava's love interest. The 39-year-old Canadian actor could be called a master in Christmas romance films as he has previously starred in many of them, including two other Hallmark productions - 'Time After Time' and 'Undercover Holiday'. He was also part of the fantasy shows 'Shadowhunters' and 'Supernatural'. 

Kathryn Kohut

Kohut will play Sigrid in the rom-com. The Canadian actress is quite new to the world of acting and the film industry but has already bagged several projects. She has previously worked in several romance movies, including Christmas ones like 'Mistletoes and Menorahs'. 

Angela Besharah

Besharah will join the cast as Brigitta. She is also Canadian and will play a character who is part of the royal family in the film.
