Who is Ryan Claytor? Meet the new ‘The Bachelor’ contestant and dancer who only wants to ‘get married once’

If you thought Season 25 of ‘The Bachelor’ had gotten dramatic with all the suitresses going out of their way to impress Matt James, wait till you meet the new contestants. The preview for the January 25 episode shows new ladies entering the house and a range of emotions the other contestants display in the presence of new competitors. Ryan Claytor, the 26-year-old dancer, is one among the new suitresses vying for Matt’s heart, and here are a few interesting details you ought to know about her. 

Who is Ryan Claytor and what does she do?



 

Ryan is a dancer and native of Virginia. Even though we’ll be seeing her for the first time on ‘The Bachelor’, she isn’t new to television. She is a dancer on the FX series 'Pose' and reportedly received a scholarship from the renowned Alvin Ailey school of dance. The pictures on her Instagram show that she had performed at the famous Spirit Gala at Lincon Center in 2019. 

It further states that she is an alum of James Madison Univerisity. According to reports, she is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, which a traditionally Black Sorority. 

What is she looking for in her future husband?

While not much is known about Ryan besides her passion for dancing, her official bio for ‘The Bachelor’ describes her as “a symbol of empowerment for women, someone who pushes herself, has a good heart, and cares about the well-being of all". Apparently, she strives to be just like Wonder Woman in her everyday life. 



 

It further reads, “Ryan is looking for a man with a kind heart who has more to talk about than just work. She loves when her man pays extra attention to the little things and says a guy who can handle conflict with poise and grace is a huge turn-on. Service of others is also important to Ryan, so someone that is focused on giving back to the community is a huge plus.”

She only wants to be married ‘once’

Ryan has made it clear that she would be tying the knot with someone just once. Her bio says, “She wants a man who exhibits good husband qualities and someone who shares similar values and beliefs. Ryan intends to only get married once and we can't wait to see if Matt is the partner she's been looking for all along.” 



 

Well, only time can tell us if her wish to make Matt her husband for a lifetime would come true, given she has so many potential suitresses to compete with. Ryan will be introduced with four other new suitresses on the January 25 episode. 

‘The Bachelor’ airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
