LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Season 2 finale of 'House of the Dragon' has unveiled the mystery of the Three-Eyed Raven, and the character has a startling connection to the fan-favorite series 'Game of Thrones'.

Throughout the majority of Season 2 of the show, fans were introduced to Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) living in Harrenhal while attempting to raise an army; however, it was also revealed that he is pursuing the Iron Thorne for himself rather than assisting his wife Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy).

However, things changes in the finale of the Season 2, Dameon has unexpected visions, which led him to change his mind and support Rhaenyra in her quest for the Iron Throne.

So, what exactly was Dameon's vision, and how would it affect the future of the show?

In the finale of the show, Dameon had a vision that includes key figures and events including Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), a White Walker, his own death, and Rhaenyra on the Iron Throne.

Central to this vision is a man appearing almost as part of a weirwood tree, who resembles a Targaryen and this figure is identified as Brynden Rivers also known as Three-Eyed Raven who has a distinctive red birthmark resembling a raven, a unique trait linking him to the character from 'Game of Thrones'.

Brynden Rivers, also known as Bloodraven, was a legitimized bastard of King Aegon IV Targaryen, whose lineage sparked the Blackfyre rebellions.

It is to be noted that Three-Eyed Raven in 'Game of Thrones' is one of the most mysterious and powerful characters  who also helps Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learn to use his unique powers and then eventually gets replaced by him.

The Three-Eyed Raven is said to be 1,000 years old, and numerous people have held the title throughout the years. However, the show does not dive fully into his origins or capabilities, keeping several parts of his past and talents unknown.

Why Three-Eyed Raven theory is important in 'House of the Dragon'?

The hypothesis that the Three-Eyed Raven is a Targaryen has long been discussed, and the most recent episode of the program not only verifies but also expands on this.

This hypothesis is linked to Aegon the Conqueror's dream at the beginning of the show, which predicts the approaching darkness of the White Walkers and the need for a Targaryen to unite the kingdom to oppose it. The appeareance of Brynden Rivers (Bloodraven) in Daemon's dream implies that a Targaryen may have needed to transform into the Three-Eyed Raven to help battle the Night King.

This established the rivlary between the Targaryens and the White Walkers, since Aegon's dream had already established their animosity, and the Three-Eyed Raven was revealed as the Night King's actual opponent on 'Game of Thrones.'
