FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: Quintavious Johnson is set to compete in the upcoming season 22 of 'American Idol'.
However, Quintavious is no newcomer to talent shows. Back in 2014, at the age of 12, he auditioned for Season 9 of 'America's Got Talent', captivating audiences with his remarkable talent as he performed Beyoncé's “Listen.”
His captivating performance impressed the judges and earned him a spot on the show. Throughout the competition, Quintavious continued to impress with his powerful vocals, taking on challenging songs like Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” and Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Going Down.”
His consistent performances led him to the finals, where he finished in fifth place.
This time Quintavious Johnson will be performing in 'American Idol' Season 22 trying to wow judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan.

Quintavious Johnson, a gifted singer hailing from Franklin, Tennessee, displayed early signs of his musical talent at a remarkably young age. His mother, Yolanda, first noticed his gift when he was just 11 months old, as he hummed back a song she sang to him in a grocery store.
This early indication of his musical ability led Quintavious to join the Lime Stone Baptist Choir at the tender age of five, setting the stage for his journey into the world of music.
As he grew older, Quintavious further developed his vocal skills through formal vocal lessons. He draws inspiration from a diverse range of legendary singers such as Whitney Houston, Shirley Caesar, Jennifer Hudson, Donny McClurkin, Alicia Keys, and Mariah Carey, among others.
His passion for music has seen him perform the National Anthem for various sports teams like the Nashville Sounds and Franklin Cowboys, with aspirations to sing it for the Tennessee Titans in the future.

Despite having some prior experience, Quintavious Johnson still experienced nervousness before his auditions. However, he was determined to make a significant impact on people through his singing. Quintavious described his sound as penetrating and deep, resonating with peace and love as it emanates from the goodness in his heart and his connection to the divine. One of his favorite vocal exercises is the lip buzz, which helps him relax before singing and deliver his best performance.

Quintavious Johnson's journey expanded beyond 'America's Got Talent' as he became a worship leader, sharing his musical talents at various special events. One notable performance was at Franklin’s State of the City celebration in May. He has also showcased his rendition of the national anthem at several prominent sporting events, including those of the Tennessee Titans, New York Rangers, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, and Detroit Lions.
While Quintavious hasn't released many songs, he did unveil a Christian single titled “Your Grace” in the summer of 2021. This six-plus minute worship track not only reflects his vocal prowess but also highlights his dedication to uplifting and inspirational music.

His post alluded to the powerful fusion of Hollywood with spiritual inspiration, suggesting a new wave of the Holy Ghost's influence within the entertainment realm. Quintavious expressed his excitement about auditioning for Season 22 of 'American Idol,' inviting followers to join him on this thrilling journey. His post concluded with a reference to Isaiah 61:1-3, adding a spiritual touch to his announcement.
