NBA star Marcus Smart announces engagement to longtime GF Maisa Hallum on Christmas
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart took his fans for a ride this Christmas. He decided to delight his fans once more post his spectacular performance against Milwaukee Bucks where he matched his six points with eight steals and three rebounds in the 139-118 victory. Post the match, he took to his social media to announce his engagement to his longtime girlfriend Maisa Hallum. The proposal also had a clip by Will Smith all the way from Antarctica saying, "Now, I know that you may not have gotten the stuff that you wanted, I promise you, you're not going to end this Christmas empty-handed."
The 28-year-old NBA player posted a series of cryptic tweets causing a stir among the fans. However, the tension was diffused by a major announcement that delighted his fans. His tweets collectively read, "'guess what............ I've had enough. Been holding it in too long and it's about time this gets said ....' It’s time for me to leave …" Up until now, his Twitter was raging with animosity as fans were convinced that he was announcing his exit from Boston Celtics. Right when Celtics fans were about to fall off the edge, Smart posted a picture with his girlfriend Maisa Hallum showing off the engagement ring saying, "Oh I forgot the rest… Time for me to leave the single life. She said YES!!! (Whew)"

Who is Maisa Hallum?
Hallum is prominently known for her relationship with the Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart. As for the professional angle, she is a businesswoman and last known as the creative director of Sousa Swim, a swimwear line she started with her sister, Naseme. The Instagram page of the brand is wiped clean and Hallum doesn't have an account so her current employment status is unknown. She is often seen courtside at the Boston Celtics games cheering for her now-future husband.
Hallum was interviewed on a podcast called 'Blueprint Concepts' in 2020 where she revealed she was born and raised in California. She explained that she took inspiration for her designs from daily life and the city of California with her sister as they were "in swimsuits more than in street clothes." Marcus Smart proposed to Maisa Hallum on Christmas Day and pranked his fans while announcing the next chapter of his life as well. Jason Tatum, Blake Griffin, Obi Toppin, Evan Turner, and other teammates congratulated the player on starting a new chapter of his life.
