Heat vs Celtics: Boston live to fight another day with Game 5 win, fans say 'they picked one hell of a night'
Going into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, the Miami Heat were just one win away from making the NBA final, but the Boston Celtics, in what came across as a show of resilience and utter domination notched up a 121-108 win on Friday to fight another day. The Heat still leads the series 3-2, but with the Celtics newfound spark, this series is far from over. Celtics fans were over the moon as the Greens stormed back into contention with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the charge.
Twitter was flooded with fans sharing their thoughts on the electrifying second-half that saw the Celtics go past Heat. "@celtics I don't understand yall where was this energy game 1 and game 2 good win lets see if yall turn this series around," read one of the tweets after the much-needed win.

For some of the fans, this was an effort the side lacked in the previous games. "The Celtics tried winning today, this is important if they want to win games," a fan commented.

A few Heat fans were disgruntled with referee decisions that didn't go their way. They blamed the refs for the team's loss, however, a few admitted the Heat could've done better. "@NBAOfficial You guys are absolute dog shit. We didn’t play our best basketball but you guys suck. You killed it for the #Heat, literally couldn’t get a call for shit but every time someone breathes near the Celtics it’s a hostile act. F*** off. #NBAPlayoffs #HEATTwitter," a fan commented.

But for a majority of the fans, this was an unforgettable game and would go a long way in boosting their confidence. "Celtics live to fight another day. They picked one hell of a night to play their best game," read one of the comments on Twitter.

"I still feel like the Celtics should be up in this series but this was an impressive win. They could’ve easily quit after that first quarter and a half but they kept pushing. Boston showed a lot of heart. You love to see it, "seconded another fan.

It wasn't a great start for the Celtics as they missed 11 shots and trailed by seven points at halftime. Tatum found another gear while Brown went offensive as the Celtics regrouped. Daniel Theise, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart all came alive. Tatum ended the day with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.
Brown chipped in with 28 points while Walker, who earlier this month after confessing he had to play well added 15 points and seven assists. The Heat had an off day but had Goran Dragic stepping up to score 23 points while Duncan Robinson had 20 points to his credit. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo had eight points and as many rebounds respectively.
With this win, the fans dared to hope. "Huge credit to the #Celtics. Could have packed it in a couple of times tonight but fought back and then some. Emphatic win. One game at a time. #BleedGreen," a fan opined.
