Celtics vs Raptors: Marcus Smart called 'Mr Floppy' after failed stunt leaves fans amused and angry
Marcus Smart may have stunned the world by hitting five straight three-pointers and playing a key role in the Boston Celtics 102-99 win in Game 2 against the Toronto Raptors, but that didn't stop Twitter from roasting him for attempting to pull a crafty move which pretty much flopped in the end. Smart became the instant topic of memes and trolls following the incident which left most fans amused.
During the third quarter, Smart sensed a Toronto fast break opportunity by flinging himself into Pascal Siakam from behind and falling out of frame that had fans buzzing. Needless to say, the five 3's were insane.
"This type of play is infuriating. Fine him. I don’t want to see flopping like this in a game," wrote one of the fans.

This was seconded by another who wrote: "This dude is a master at fault simulation. And it's not the first time"

For one of the fans, it was just a plain clueless call' :Why would you ever give Marcus smart a foul call? Refs have to know who they are dealing with?" he asked.

Then came the memes with one of the fans dubbing him "Mr. Floppy"
"And the foul was originally called against Toronto! Reviewed and reversed of course. Marcus Smart will be remembered for this for the rest of his career! @Raptors@celtics (Only @NHLBruins fans will argue this one)" a fan opined.

It was embarrasment, plain and simple. "I mean, not going to blame him for doing it, but his flopping is so absurd that its embarrassing that refs fall for it," read one of the comments.

Some more players were added to the mix. "Lol between Lowry, Smart, CP3, and Harden idk which one tries to fool refs the most," a fan remarked.

On a more serious note, this win was quite a topic for fans."The most important thing of Celtics' lead in the series against Raptors is the defence. Cs has allow 96.5 points in the first 2 games of the series against one of the best offensive teams of NBA. Great accomplishment, as Marcus Smart said after Game 2. #Celtics."
