'Who Is Killing the Cheerleaders': Meet Ella May Cannon and Austin Freeman, the cast of Lifetime's Halloween thriller

If you have been longing to see a good suspense thriller movie that can evoke fear in this month of Halloween, then Lifetime's latest flick ‘Who Is Killing The Cheerleaders’ is your go-to. The film shall explode the natty and ultra-glam world of cheerleading by unraveling its grisly side. While not much is revealed about the film ahead of its release, this itself wraps a layer of eeriness to the film and intrigues us. One thing that it can presumably assure is that there would be a killer and the film would be replete with blistering antics as implicitly known from its title. As we head to watch it, here is the cast of the film.

'Who Is Killing The Cheerleaders' (Lifetime)

Ella May Cannon is an Australian actress born in East Melbourne. She began acting professionally at the age of 17 by embarking on a journey in the field of theatre. She bagged her first leading role in theatre which was with the character of Electra in the NIDA production ‘The House of Atreus’, shortly followed by the role of Grace in the Wax Acts Theatre Company's original play ‘The Innkeeper’.After the theatre, the actress ventured into films and television. Actress Ella May Cannon is famed for her roles like that of 'Rachel' in the sci-fi series 'iZombie'. Her acting credits further include roles in the Australian all-star series 'Neighbours', 'Winners and Losers', comedy spoof 'Footballer Wants a Wife', and Lifetime's 'The Lost Wife of Robert Durst' to name some. The actress keeps her fans excited about what new roles she is venturing into. She regularly posts on her Instagram about film shoots and even flaunts her gorgeous figure in what appears to be modeling sessions.

Cannon is also into the music scene. She has shared her single ‘One Glass Away’ on Spotify. Mentioning about it in one of her posts on May 22 this year, Cannon said, “Fellow inmates, I have a song for you. ⁣I figured it was about time I let this little labor of love see the light of day - link in bio!” She added, ⁣"I came to Lorenzo Mazze with this song played on a shakey guitar, and watching him do what he has done to it has left me so impressed and grateful for the time he spent teaching me and breathing life into my musings. I’ve never really shared an original like this before but, this one for anyone that’s struggled with wanting something that can only hurt you. If a single one of you enjoys it half as much as I’ve enjoyed the process then I’ll be one happy chook.”While not much is disclosed about her role in the current Lifetime flick, all we can do is await a brilliant performance from her.

Austin Freeman

The Anderson-born actor, Austin Freeman is best known for essaying the role of Alex in AMC's 'The Walking Dead'. The actor embarked on an acting career right from the early age of 16. He further explored a love for storytelling and got his Bachelor's in theatre performance from Young Harris College in 2012 that brushed up his acting skills. Freeman is prominently known for his work in 'The Mule' (2018), 'Watchmen' (2019) and 'Paradise Lost' (2020).The star often posts about his dashing pictures, his acting projects, and auditions on Instagram. Currently, not much is disclosed about his role in the current Lifetime flick. 

‘Who Is Killing The Cheerleaders’ releases on Sunday, October 18, at 8 pm on Lifetime channel.
