Jennifer Love Hewitt in talks with Freddie Prinze Jr to return for ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ sequel
SAN FRANSISCO, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr are in talks with Sony Pictures for a sequel to 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. There are reports that Sony Pictures have already hired Jennifer Kaytin Robinson to take up the role of director for the sequel.
The sequel will mostly witness Neal H Moritz as the producer with Leah McKendrick on board to write the script, according to Deadline. The original film narrates the story of four young friends who are stalked by a hook-wielding killer which happened after a year of covering up a car accident where they killed a man.

Hewitt is married to her husband, actor Brian Hallisay, and has three children, Autumn, Atticus, and Aiden. The duo initially met at the sets of their short-lived NBC series, 'Love Bites.' Though they didn't feel a spark at that point in time, they reconnected at the sets of 'The Client List.' They got engaged after 15 months of dating while she was pregnant with their first child, Autumn. Brian has starred in numerous notable films and TV shows like 'American Sniper,' 'Revenge and Hostel Part III', and 'Bottoms Up'. He graduated from Cornell University before pursuing acting. He once told Chicago Tribune, “It had always been a childhood dream to become an actor. I also liked history and economics, so I pursued them in college. I was an investment banker for a bit until I finally decided to pursue acting in Hollywood”. After welcoming their second child, Atticus, she said, "It’s crazy and beautiful. Every day brings something new and surprising and exciting. I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world," as per People.
