Her entrepreneurial journey took a significant leap in 2020 when she joined forces with her husband Brooks Atwood to establish their company Berries. Gianna Wurzl has raised funding of over 10M for her companies

Gianna Wurzl and Ashley Sumner had a vision for a co-working space called One Roof, tailored specifically for women in Los Angeles. They believed that intentional gatherings and meaningful conversations were missing from existing spaces, and they were also concerned about affordability. To address these concerns, they decided to explore an innovative idea: bringing co-working spaces into people's homes. They sent out an informal email to 1,000 women, explaining their concept and how it could help reduce costs. Within just 48 hours, an impressive 300 women signed up to become hosts. This marked the birth of Quilt, a platform that brings women together in homes for co-working sessions, guided discussions, and informal classes. After eight months of hard work, Wurzl and Sumner successfully raised $3.8 million in funding and officially launched Quilt in Los Angeles in 2017. Today, Quilt has expanded its reach to New York City and San Francisco. What sets Quilt apart is its flexible pricing structure. Unlike traditional co-working spaces that require monthly fees, Quilt operates on an à la carte model. Hosts charge anywhere from $9 to $45 per event, while co-working sessions are priced at $10 to $20 per session. Quilt takes a 20 percent commission from each admission. Most sessions are designed for small groups, with no more than 10 participants. Quilt's mission is to create an inclusive community that embraces individuals from diverse backgrounds. They welcome everyone, from aspiring entrepreneurs and parents reentering the workforce to retirees who want to share their wisdom. The platform has gained significant traction, attracting thousands of users.
