Despite the challenges, the arrival of 'Snowpiercer' Season 4 on AMC+ has been both thrilling and overwhelming. Fans are eager to see how this post-apocalyptic drama will conclude for its lead characters and whether it will finally have a happy ending.

Identity of Alex Cavill's father has remained a mystery since Season 1 of 'Snowpiercer'
In 'Snowpiercer' Season 1, the creators wasted no time delving into Melanie Cavill's (Jennifer Connelly) past. She boarded the train, leaving her daughter and aging parents behind.
Her biggest regret was not being able to bring her daughter on board and she lived for six years believing that her child died in the freeze.
However, not once does the show mention anything about Alex's father. Melanie is in a relationship with fellow engineer, Ben Knox (Iddo Goldberg), but those who have watched the three seasons would know that Alex Cavill (Rowan Blanchard) isn't Ben's child.
In the second season, Alex was introduced as an engineer on Big Alice. We found out that Joseph Wilford (Sean Bean) saved Alex and taught her to be an engineer.
Although Wilford isn't her biological father, Alex loves him for acting as the doting parent she yearned for.
Throughout the three seasons, we witness the evolving dynamics between Melanie and Alex, as well as Alex and Wilford, yet we still receive no hint about Alex's real father.
Fans speculate a new character from 'Snowpiercer' Season 4 to be Alex Cavill's father
Before the series concludes, fans hope the creators will reveal the identity of Alex's father. However, since this hasn't been addressed, fans now speculate that a new character introduced in Season 4 could be her father.
Dr Nima Rousseau (Michael Aronov), a scientist who was living in a bunker created by the US military is working on creating warm spots on Earth. He has boarded Snowpiercer and seeks Melanie's cooperation to complete his mission.
Melanie immediately recognizes him from MIT, where she also studied. Though we don't see any old spark between Nima and Melanie, fans still speculate that Nima could be Alex's father.
A fan took to Reddit and wrote "Does anyone else think Nima is Alex's dad? idk why but that was my first thought. it sounds like they went to MIT together so the timeline could work assuming Melanie went to MIT for grad school in her mid/late 20s."
An intrigued fan added, "I hadn't thought of that, but I like this theory. I do think the writers kept Alex's father a mystery up until now incase they wanted to do something with it. Otherwise you'd think we'd get at least one line saying her father passed away or froze with the rest of the planet or something."

While the creators continue to maintain the mystery, we hope to get answers before the show concludes.
