NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: While many may take it as a compliment to be called a princess or be proud of coming from "old money," Jessel Taank isn't one of them.

In 'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 14 Episode 5 she makes sure to defend her "vibe" to the other cast members, as seen in a teaser. The New Yorker takes pride in her hard work and won't let anyone tell her otherwise.

Jessel seeks to use the revised version of the Bravo series 'RHONY' as a platform to make people reevaluate their misconceptions surrounding a "housewife". As a former spokesperson for Michael Kors and Westfield, she is the first housewife of Indian origin to join The Real Housewives franchise, which premiered in 2006.

Jessel Taank opens up to Sai de Silva about her coffee date with Erin Lichy

In the teaser for the upcoming episode, Sai de Silva arrives as Jessel is hosting a fashion party for a client at her house. After hearing that Erin Lichy and Jessel had a coffee date that didn't go well, Sai inquired about the duo's dialogue.

"Oh, she called you a princess, and you cried, didn’t you?" asked Sai to Jessel, and the latter replied, "She didn't call me a princess," elaborating, "She said, ‘I think you like being catered to,’ and I was like, 'So you’re calling me a princess?' So, I took offense to that because I’m like you, like I came here with no money. I work my ass off. Maybe I give off like a certain vibe?"

Then Sai stated, "You seem like you do come from money — seems like there’s some old money there — maybe it’s the English accent?" pointing to how Jessel might appear to come from a well-established family.

"At this point, they’re just making assumptions based off of how I sound and how I look," Jessel is heard admitting in her confessional.
