LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix's dark comedic thriller series 'Bodkin' is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

The series, which is the creative brainchild of Jez Scharf and is directed by Nash Edgerton, follows a crew of podcasters as they set out on a mission to discover the truth behind the inexplicable disappearance of three strangers.

As the story progresses, they discover an unexpected truth that proves to be far stranger than they ever anticipated.

According to Express, the majority of the series was filmed in Ireland's breathtaking landscapes, adding a layer of authenticity and realism.

Let's look at where 'Bodkin' was filmed before it gets released.

Some of the series' pivotal sequences were filmed at Poulgorm Bridge and Glandore in West Cork, Cork City.

Cork is Ireland's third-most populated city and the second-largest in the Republic of Ireland with a population of 224,004 as of the 2022 census.

The city, originally founded as a monastic monastery in the sixth century by Saint Finbarr, was urbanized between the years 915 and 922 when Norseman immigrants established a commercial port.

'Bodkin' was partially filmed at Dublin's Howth Castle and Leopardstown Racecourse.

Dublin, situated on the banks of the River Liffey, is Ireland's largest and capital city. The city is located on the coast and is home to several beautiful beaches, hills, and trails.

Visitors to Dublin can enjoy exploring the gardens of Malahide Castle or take a scenic walk along the Howth Cliff Walk. The city, which is well-known for its rich literary legacy, welcoming culture, and friendliness, draws tourists from all over the world.

Notable national cultural institutions, such as the National Gallery and the recently opened Museum of Literature Ireland, are located near the city center.

Travelhawk Beach in Wicklow served as another location for the thriller show's shooting.

The city, renowned for the high quality of its outdoor sports, is situated south of Dublin in eastern Ireland. As of the 2022 census, it boasted a population of 12,957 residents.

Together with a commercial port for the importation of textiles and wood, the city also has train connections to Rosslare Europort, Wexford, Dublin, and Arklow.

The primary river that passes through the town is the River Vartry.
