'Scream 7': Where to watch all the previous six films of the hit slasher franchise
As 'Scream 7' continues to blow hot and cold with the reviews, the buzz has moved to the hit horror franchise as a whole. The iconic slasher film started off with 'Scream' in 1996, and later saw six more movies being made after the debut movie became a cult classic.
With some fans yet to catch the latest instalment, the idea naturally is to get a quick refresher. Paramount+ gives fans a chance to catch all six films in chronological order. With all movies connected and taking place in the same timeline, the new faces make for an addition outside of a plotline that, to some degree, connects to the previous films. All six films can be watched on the streamer with a subscription.
Paramount usually streams its latest releases about 45 to 60 days after the title's theatrical release. It's worth noting that 'Scream VI' landed on streaming 46 days after its release on the big screen, ahead of its Premium Video on Demand (PVOD) release for digital renting and buying. Should the just-released installment follow the same model, 'Scream 7' will start streaming from April 14 onwards, and PVOD.
The official synopsis for 'Scream 7' reads, "When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, she must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all."
Alongside Campbell are Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Courteney Cox, reprising their roles from the previous films. Isabel May, Anna Camp, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, McKenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O'Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, and Joel McHale form a rich ensemble cast. The film follows a masked entity targeting Prescott's daughter Tatum (May).
'Scream' 7 is running in cinemas, and is expected to start streaming on Paramount+ soon.
