Is Lil Nas X OK? Singer's fans find his social media silence 'unsettling'

The loyal fans of Lil Nas X took to Twitter to wonder aloud why the 'Montero' hitmaker was not active online, they say it is unlike him

Lil Nas X has always been the most outspoken personality in the room but his recent absence from social media has got the fans worried.The ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ hitmaker might have courted several controversies on several occasions but he surely grabbed the attention on Twitter and Instagram. The Grammy-winning rapper’s last social media post was shared in December.
 
The loyal fans of Lil Nas X took to Twitter with an intention to find out where is the singer-songwriter and wondered if he was doing fine. While a majority of them voiced their concern over the same others trolled the rapper and claimed he must be chilling after the release of his album. Lil Nas X had released his debut full-length album ‘Montero’ in September 2021. According to Billboard, Nas X had shared a few tweets about contracting the Covid-19 virus but deleted them later.

Is Lil Nas X OK?

Lil Nas X’s last Instagram posts tell us that he logged in last on December 7, 2021, but reportedly he had shared he was down from Covid on December 17 which he later ended up deleting. According to Billboard, the Georgia native has tweeted, “Covid really sucks. last night i was tryna watch porn then i sneezed snot all over pe**s lmao.” Lil Nas X also pulled out of UK’s Capital FM Jingle Ball one week prior to the performance. On Instagram, Nas X enjoys close to eight million followers and got the same number of fans and followers on Twitter.
 
In the deleted tweets, Nas X had also joked about Omicron/Omarion joke saying, I’m not sure whether i’ve had the omarion or alicia keys variant of covid but this has not been a fun journey”, as reported by The Uproxx. Prior to the tweet, he had posted, “Now that i’m sure i won’t die from covid i will now begin making mildly funny jokes about having it.” The renowned musician then continued, “I only talk to people who have covid now. u non-covid bi**hes need to stfu. us coviders run this s**t!”  It is unclear why Nas X deleted the tweets. Also, there has been no update from his rep’s end. MEAWW will keep you posted.

‘He went back in the closet’,  say trolls

Getting worried about Lil Nas X’s whereabouts, one user shared, “Where the f**k is @LilNasX?” Another, on similar lines, posted, “Ok because where tf is @LilNasX ? you can come back now.” One shared, “@LilNasX are you ok? Why have you been so quiet?” Echoing similar sentiments, one asked, “Where tf is lil nas x ?” The next one tweeted, “This is too much for my mental health! @LilNasX where are you?”
 
Meanwhile, one individual asserted, “I’m legitimately concerned about @LilNasX. The last time he tweeted, he had Covid. (That tweet has since been deleted.) For someone who consistently and seemingly joyfully used social media to  connect with his fans and promote his artistry to just disappear is…unsettling.” Another trolled the rapper saying, “He might be transitioning.” One joked, “He was only active because of his album, so he chilling i guess.” And, one concluded while mocking him saying, “He went back in the closet, but he’ll come out again twice as gay lol.”
